So if Bahl falls to 42 and we are picking 37 th

I always am amazed when I see comments like lets trade for Myers or Oleksiak and trade proposals for Carlo because we complain we don't have any big D.Draft one take a chance. Tryamkin looked decent. It is one pick out of many . Take one chance.

Did take a chance on Tree in the 3rd round. Could have taken Tree in the second round. Just give up Demko for Tree. Nope, not doing that.

Could have taken Nic Hague over Kole Lind. Nope, I wouldn't do that either. Close, still not doing it.

Could have taken Eemeli Rasanen over Gadjovich. Nope wouldn't do that either.

Just depends on where you draft.

Lind has 2 shots in 5 games with the Comets .It is not like he is dominating in any way. Jasek is having way more impact. Like Lefty said it is a crap shoot.

if we're lucky and get one of Svech or Zadina - then that has to be the D-plan.

Some decent guys other than the ones i mentioned earlier between the 2nd-3rd round
Axel Andersson
Alex Alexeeyev
K'ander Miller
Nick Beaudin

JB is just have to get another 1st and another 2nd round pick.

You are comparing a player that has been playing against men for 3 years. To a player who just came from junior?

Just curious - What draft site are you looking at? Im having trouble finding one that ranks outside of the first round - I did find Buttons (which I suppose is a crapshoot) but he has Bahl at 65!!

We'll be picking 37 & 68 - He has Mattias Samuelson at 28, Jett Woo at 39, Sean Curzi at 45, K'Andre Miller 56 or Adam Samuelson at 74

Curtis Douglas at 79 is 6'8, 234 - good lord

I'd prefer to take a flier on Jake Wise in the 3rd - small but huge skill...or Jonny Tychonick....

3 months ago, I had Jack Wise as a 4th round if Van got another. Then maybe with the 3rd round pick. Now April rankings I saw, others have him in the 50's

Jonny is projected late 1st or early 2nd.

So in 2 or 3 years Lind may or may not work out. Your comments about playing against men for 3 years doesn't make Lind less of a maybe. The draft is a crap shoot not all second round picks make the NHL

Jasek has been playing competition that is probably equal for 3 years. Lind just moved up to harder competition for 2 games.

Lind has played 5 games but that is not the point . He has a 33 % chance of becoming a full time NHLer . He may work out he may not . Just because he did well in Jr doesn't mean he will be a NHLer.

great numbers and we can always use centres, maybe we'll end up with an extra second or third, take a D and a C

In the last 10 years of drafting Canucks currently have 6 players playing on the team
Virtanen Bo Brock and Gaunce from the first round

Hutton and Gaudette from the fifth round.

Currently no second round draft picks from the Canucks on the roster

Good point for sure....id also ask what role is Lind playing? Is he getting sheltered 4th line ice time to get his feet wet... or do they have him playing 20 mins in the top six?

Lind was drafted not even a year ago playing his first pro games in his draft year+1 and Jasek was drafted years ago. Strange comparison. One's a man now...

Edit: I know you keep saying it's not the point but whats the point of comparing those two players?

It took Lind less than a year to be getting points in the AHL. Jasek took almost 4....

I don't think its common or expected for an 18yr old to come into the AHL at the end of their junior seasons and make an immediate impact. I also wonder who Lind is playing with and how much ice time he's getting?

I am saying out of nowhere a 6 th rd pick is currently having more of an impact for the Comets than a second rd pick that I have seen some on here posting into next years Canucks roster.

It is a statement to take a step back on the expectations of Lind right now

Canucks third line is Sutter Eriksson and random scraps... gretzky would probably struggle to score with them. I wouldn't worry about Linds production on Uticas third line just yet. Be more interested in where he's at cone Christmas time.

Crosby and Matthews both called generational players by the Canadian media. Do you see a scoreless Crosby pouting on the bench? Do you hear Crosby saying "what ever... it's hockey" as he shrugs?

I am not worry about Lind at all . I am telling posters on here just because he was a second round pick don't expect much for a while. He is making nice plays and setting up players not finishing but Lind himself is probably 2 years away if he makes the Canucks
