Severson really not playing? Just disheartening.

Grabner has been getting lots of chances, and breakaways, but the results just haven't been there. In 21 games since being acquired by the Devils, he has potted two goals.

So Todd, we got the Islander version of Grabner and not the Rangers version. I guess this is the karma you're dealt when you trade with your arch-enemy.

Severson looked awful on saturday, he makes to many dumb turnovers and for the playoffs making those mistakes could be costly. (Not saying lovejoy doesn't make mistakes)

Moore and Mueller are as much of an issue as Lovejoy. Lovejoy has been fine as a 3rd pairing/pk specialist beside Butcher.

Saturday was a bit of poop show by a lot of players. Ironically, I think Severson was -3 and Lovejoy was +3. Not saying that means much.

The problem is Lovejoy's lack of offense and slower skating it what looks to be very fast paced game. Hopefully his playoff experience and 3rd pairing minutes don't hurt us.

I don't think Girardi was ever 'solid'. Maybe he was less bad at one point?

He and McDonagh were a good pairing years back for the Rags.

Seems like we won more games this year when being outplayed.
One thing is for sure though, KK will give up a goal within the first minute of the game.

That game scared the crap outta me knowing Tampa has just as much if not more firepower as Pittsburgh

Couldn't agree more. He gets a pass it seems because he joins the rush a lot and seems to create offense, but I agree his shortcomings far outweigh his contributions.

I'm hoping the Hynes decision to bench Severson is to get him motivated to play well like it's worked before. Otherwise it's nothing short of head scratching
