Dont sell the Wings short. It's done even before it starts. Didnt you see they got a bye all the way to the end of the playoffs?

Boston has Marchand, Bergeron, Pastrnak, Krug and McAvoy

Leafs have Matthews, Nylander, Marner, Kadri, JVR, Marleau, Rielly and Gardiner

I don't know Lucas.

You include guys like Kadri and Marleau on the Leafs side but exclude Heinen, Krejci or Debrusk as players to lookout for on the Bruins?

I think this matchup is really 50/50. Both teams have interesting and similar depth up front, similar goaltending (though I do like Andersen better) and I think Boston's defense is overall better with Chara and Carlo after the two guys you mentionned.

Should be a great series either way.

I hope both teams lose.

Carlo is out for the year, but I agree with you aside from that.

Edit: Except that last part

Am I wrong to think losing Riley Nash is gonna hurt the Bruins more than some people might think?

He was a decent #3 C as far as I could tell.

I thought that too, then I did this:

Heinen: 47 points - Krejci 44 points - Debrusk 43 points
Bozak: 43 points - Hyman - 40 points

so perhaps I could have excluded the Veteran Marleau, but he did score 27 goals and has more experience than any player on the ice. Heinen and Debrusk are both rookies too.

Just my angle my good man - defending my words

He was a huge piece of this team and my choice for 7th player of the year award for the player that outperforms expectations the most. He's only been ruled out for game 1 as of now though. At least that's the last I heard.

Series probably going to come down to if Leafs right side on D doesn’t get too (frank)ed up by the Bergeron line, and leafs getting scoring from their top 3 lines to make up for the Bergeron line doing damage. Both goalies will be good.

Pretty sure Lucas is pointing out 20+ goal scoring players on offense and the top two d-men in terms of scoring.

Perhaps a bit thin in terms of analysis as players like Debrusk, Krejci, and Heinen deserved to be called out... but then Bozak and Hyman should as well as their numbers are comparable.

I dunno. This series could end up a sweep in either direction or go 7 deep. I have literally no idea how this is going to play out but the Leafs did seem to have the B's number this year. Here's hoping it continues!

1 thing to remember compared to 2013. That leafs team was in the playoffs for the 1st time in 10 yrs. This Leafs team was in the playoffs last yr. The Bruins missed the playoffs last 2 seasons. That means playoffs are new for the younger players on the Bruins.

Plus the leafs weren’t very good in 2013, bruins dominated that series and Reimer almost stole it. I don’t think experience will be a huge factor here, both are good teams. Hopefully it’s a great series.
