7 pp for the caps: 3/7...
caps were throwing everything at the net...looking for rebounds, deflections bounces etc...
caps controlled much of the play
bobro had one of those games...when needed he was big in particular in the 3rd
once again a trots team looks to be an early exit...ovie will be at the worlds in about a week

There is something to cheer about in Columbus besides the Ohio State Buckeyes. In the nation's capitol no less, the Blue Jackets stunned the Washingtonn Capitals in stunning fashion. Everyone draws a deep breath because it wasn't just the stunning attire of their goaltender, it was his goaltending.
Thanks, bogiedoc for telling us that the Capitals threw everything but the kitchen sink at Bobrovsky. The Russian netminder has a reputation of performing absolutely stellar, whereas in previous years his usual counter opponent, Mr Holtby, having performed less capably this season, could only watch in horror as Grabauer was not the equal in net. Talk about a touch of irony.
I am left thinking that as the Blue Jacets race onto the ice right before the national anthem in front of their wildly cheering fandom, the appropiate song blaringly for a special minute should be "Everybody loves a sharp dressed man."
Perhaps Bobrovsky is sporting that tan sports jacket again but his performance this series is going to lift the Blue Jacets into the next round.
Meanwhile Barry Trotz has a huge headache that not even two goals from Ovechkin can help lessen the pain.
Keep the coffeepot brewing, Washington Capitals, because you have to keep extra hours awake to develop a plan of attack.
I don't know if they could find a Bufuglien in the crease agitator to throw Bobrovsky off his game. Is Tom Wilson the man to lead with something other than his left hook or a right jab? Maybe he gets in Bobrovsky's house. Maybe we see I Cole come to the rescue
Irregardless of Cole the Capitals are in a playoff hole again and they will not be expected to overcome that sharp dressed goaltender.
