Yup, the St. Louis goal in Game 5. Then the Dom Moore goal in Game 6, and then the Rangers just suffocated the Habs in third period of that game protecting a one goal lead. I remember when the Rangers used to be able to play lock down defense.

The big question for the Devils/Lightning series is the health of Stamkos. If he plays every game, Tampa will win in 5 or 6. If he misses time, then the arrow shifts to Jersey.
As a hockey fan though, should be fun to watch... |

How so? Cause even without Stamkos they can win. Kucherov and Hall are equals. Point and Hischier are comparable. The Devils don't have a Hedman type player on Defense and the Devils are starting Keith Kinkaid. Even realizing Kinkaid has been great lately. Over the course of the entire year Vasilevsky was better. |

"No just pissed he never got a shot with the Rangers...his contract was terminated, going back to Russia"
If this is the case further reiterates the point that teams need to be very careful about signing Russian players while the KHL is still in existence. So long as there is a place, a lot of them will always have this "I'm taking my ball and going home" card to play and threaten their teams with. |

I believe Kucherov to be the most talented player on Lightning, but to me, Stamkos is the straw that stirs the drink. If Stamkos is truly hurt enough that he misses playoff games, that will give the Devils needed momentum to win.
Mind you, as a Rangers fan, nothing would please me more than to see the Devils get swept, but we are doing predictions here. |

Wonder if the Rangers get tampering charges cause of this kovalchuk rumors - TPC
When asked about Kovalchuk on Monday, Jeff Gorton said in some key (but not the full exact) words, that he was not even allowed to discuss or mention "any other team's player at all", yet alone have a direct conversation with him, as to possibly signing with the Rangers. That's because he would put the Rangers at risk of suffering tampering charges. So the Rangers will not be hit with them if Gorton's spoken words were the truth here.
The rumor that was spread by a supposed hockey "expert" in Russia was inaccurate as to Kovalchuk having signed any 2 or 3 year deal with the Rangers. It's highly possible that he may have said he would like to sign a contract with them, to which that expert mistaken the actual matter. I was in shock here on Monday after seeing that reference of the signing being done originally, through of all North American hockey experts, in Bob McKenzie, which he later corrected.
The fact that Kovalchuk's KHL team was eliminated from the postseason this past weekend, did not imply that he was free yet to bolt to the NHL, until after becoming a free agent on April 15th, since the Devils would still first own his rights until the prior day on the 14th. If he did not officially want to return to the Devils, all other NHL teams could then begin having possible contract talks with him, but cannot OFFICIALLY sign him until the first day of NHL free agency on July 1st. |

He adds an entertainment factor that is unrivaled. I don't know how anyone can even be offended by his posts, I've never read them seriously or for anything other than a good laugh and take everything he and everyone else writes with a grain of salt. If anything anyone writes on here is offensive, just don't read it, sooner or later everything regresses back to hockey talk when the audience doesn't take the bait.

Lightning knock off Devils in round 1, increasing the value of the Grabner 2nd rounder and go on to win the cup, making the pick we got in the McD deal a first rounder
