Good analysis, man.

For the X-factor re: the Bolts. You already know what Stammer, Kuch and Johnny are capable of. Point and, potentially, Gourde are going to be the big question marks.

Point seems to be built for the big stage... Gourde, much like the beginning of the season- who knows? Is he going to show a whole new level of flair we didn't expect this season?

Killorn is another guy to keep an eye on. He tends to get a lot of hate from Bolts fans, but has an uncanny way of showing up in the post season and in close games.

Cheers- looking forward to the series.

Not necessarily... depends if 1st half Vasy or 2nd half Vasy shows up.

Also, McDonagh hasn't really seemed to be on his game in our system, yet.

Does anyone know who is going to sit on D?

The last game against Washington Lovejoy was wearing an "A" on his sweater. I don't think he is going to go from wearing an "A" to being scratched. I think he is currently the only guy on our roster with a Stanley cup under his belt. Hynes won't sit him.

So who sits? Mueller, Severson ( currently in the dog house), or Moore (Coaches pet)

Id be really upset if Severson is scratched, but not surprised.

My guess is that Lovejoy will be in along with Severson and that Mueller will sit...
But who knows. To me it's been nuts that Severson was taken out for multiple games so maybe the coaching staff is that down on him.

Dan Girardi has been dog poop for a long time and some how keeps getting contracts and play time. It's pretty amazing.

Hopefully Severson plays a minimum 22 minutes per night, because that's what we will need from him if our D-core are to stand a chance. Personally, I would take Mueller over Lovejoy any day, as they are both playing a comparable levels, but trending in different directions. If we are going to sit a healthy Severson, Schneids, and Bratt, do not expect the post season to go on too long.

I wouldn't read too much into Lovejoy's "A" - Hall, Zajac, and Palmieri - the usual's, were all out, so someone had to wear it. I also would be disappointed, but not surprised if Severson sat, but don't think Lovejoy is keeping that "A", nor is that a factor. Hopefully they will make the right call.

We don't see behind the scenes so who knows what goes on behind closed doors that may drive these decisions. I think Severson is a better player and gives us a better chance to win than Lovejoy, so there has to be something we aren't seeing.

If Severson isn't scoring he isn't contributing much bc he can be poop defensively. We already have Vatanen and Butcher who can score on the backend. The difference between Lovejoy and Severson defensively is not much. Severson will sit game 1 and if it's a poop show then he'll probably get his shot game 2.

I expect Severson to sit. If coach was going to play him this series he would've had him playing the last few games of the season to get him ready for playoffs; unless he was hurt.
All the pressure should be on TB this series. Devs were supposed to be a few years away from being playoff contenders so they have nothing to lose imo.

seems to be a trend this year. I'm not seeing what you're all seeing with Severson. Has he REALLY looked better than Moore, Mueller, Butcher, Greene defensively or offensively? I know Lovejoy is no prize (those passes to no one in front of our net..), but I can't sit here and rant about it being a crime Severson was scratched. He just seemed like another one of our 5 bottom-pairing dmen out there. He didn't do anything spectacular offensively or defensively. He made mistakes, he's not physical, he's not fast. The beat goes on for me.

If you don't think Severson should be playing there is something wrong with you.

Lovejoy and Moore both play heavily protected minutes and still suck while doing so. Severson has struggled at times but that is part of growing as a player. There is no upside in playing worse players that have no chance at becoming better in spots in which young players can grow into them.

For example, Mueller is a player that a lot of people were down on. There has been times during the season in which he has played poorly and made obviously mistakes. However, the more he has played down the stretch the better he has gotten.

Has Severson been better than Moore, Mueller, Butcher, Greene, the past month?
I think he should be playing, but I don't think it's a travesty like we're sitting Vatanen or something

John Moore should never dress. He is (frank)ing terrible. So yes, he should be playing over garbage players like Moore and Lovejoy. Fire them into the sun for all I care.
