hey- Thanks for picking up the slack from Dan. Good to see regular Cats posts on this forum. Not much to say about your article, as I agree with it 100%.

One really couldn't argue if you picked Barkov as mvp, but Trocheck is a fair choice, IMO. Maybe they are co-MVP.

25-8-2 over their last 35 games. Tied with Jets for most wins over that span. Just dug too deep of a hole for themselves early in the season. Even though FL missed out, I'm still looking forward to watching playoff hockey, but after the first round, I'll probably start asking...Is it October, yet??
There won't be the adjustment period to a new coach/learning new systems next year.....can't wait!!

Thanks! Dare I say I'm looking forward to the draft lottery!? Can you imagine if Florida happened to win a top 3 pick?

Not having to learn a new system will be huge for this club next season. There's something about consistency that can really build from year to year. Do you have a girlfriend team you'll be rooting for in the playoffs?

I've often rooted for San Jose in the playoffs.
I'd like to see the Jets go far, they're fun to watch.
My dad would be so stoked if Philly did well, so I'll pull for them. I still don't hate the Lightning....yet. A series between TB and FL would've been some fun hockey!

Both stellar players with drool-worthy contracts. This team has a rock solid core in place that is very underpaid considering today's contracts. Great job!

Yes, I like their strategy of extending these guys to nice contracts, even if a little before they are "worth" the big dollars. They're now reaching the potential that they saw in them and the deals seem like steals. I prefer that to going lower now and then paying double in a few years. Even worse is paying guys big money for what they've done in the past, when they're not quite that level of player any longer, or won't be by the end of the contract's term.

Good Blog Mark.

With Jagr recently expressing interest in playing again in the NHL, do you see him as a fit for the Cats?
