I hope so. Hopefully for a ton of money to ruin their cap structure. A team that never learns.....hopefully they bring back Nash as well.

The cap is going up to near 80M, which will give them room to quickly jack their rebuild should Tavares feel like most the players seem to want to play on the MSG stage.
If they do go after Tavares, though, they're going to have a weak defense (unless of course they win the draft lottery). They might start to be strong by 2020 with their accumulation of picks (they have 3 firsts and hopefully an extra *late* 2nd round pick), but it doesn't make sense at all for them to sign Kovy unless they won the draft lottery.
