That whole line was invisible with the exception of a few good shifts from Schmaltz, but he still managed a whooping 13% at the dot going 2-15.

It wasn't looking good when they couldn't win draws and couldn't clear their end for long stretches either. Seemed like all the passes were weak dump plays that were turnovers all too often. Anyway, I just didn't think many forwards played well. The AA line was probably the most effective in terms of play tonight.

A team that has 7 rookies on the roster, 5 playing any given night....I think there is more a likelyhood that they are a more balanced team next year if anything, especially since they will have to spend some cash at UFA just to hit the cap floor, so big name hunting is on the agenda

Panarin with the better linemattes for his game and he could hit 100 pts. But let's just see how your rookie center affects the line up since he willl draw good wingers to complement his game. Plus you have Jenner and Milano who will vie for more playing time. Bjorkstrand too. Any of them do something besides offense .....say backchecks, plays along the wall in puck battles, etc al.
....that player will see his TOI increase. Panarin plays one dimensional he will get less TOI

A good coach makes or finds playing time for up and coming players. Either Panarin or an up and coming will probably eventually get traded. Only so many slots for scorers in a line up. Your boy is also due for some time on the sideline, due to injury - he has remained healthy so far.
