Now don't disturb the mushrooms that grow and post on this board. The nerve of you suggesting that it's a team game. You are right about Panarin being tied for third instead of second in playoff scoring last year albeit only one point behind first place. - Savoy
It was a collective no show in last year's playoffs. By the time the Hawks decided to show up they were down 2-0 and the series was over. Totally on Stan btw
However, if you can scrape up any pictures of Lil Arty within 10 feet of the Nashville net or fighting through a check they're photoshopped because it never happened.

Yeah he quit bigtime on Columbus this year. Q benched him for almost the entire year last year right? Kane hated him and it shows in Kane's production this year. Yep Kane couldn't be happier that Panarin is not only gone but beating Kane's production this year because everybody knows Panarin was strictly a product of playing with Kane even though the facts point to the other way around. Did your IQ test come back negative? - Savoy
Funny guy, anyway you want to slice it he quit on the HAWKS last Year .. And from what I here he and Kane don't even speak now ,because he quits on the people that gave him help when he arrived . He sounds like a real jerk ,guess that why you like him so much .. |

The Blues are expected to give a very determined intense effort, a response born out of their recent team slippage in earning the points which would have separated them with a tad more breathing room from the Avalanche and Kings.
One way that Q could catch the Blues off guard is to switch the first andcsecond powerplay units. After all, the first unit is so predictable in their strategy as to put the Blues in the advantageous position of feeling overconfidant. So construct and employ first a pp unit inclusive all or most of these guys: Sikura,, Schmaultz, DeBrincat, Edjsell. Gustufsson. Btw i note three of these players with good shot ability while Gus has pounded some heavy shots, too in recent games. I am uncertain Sikura quality of shot but he is a goal scorer.
This may be an unconventional choice swapping out the first unit, but it might work. Anyone concur? |

You idiots harping on Panarin for last year must not remember 7 in 7 during the STL series.
Everyone sucked against Nashville. All Panarin did here was succeed. Not his fault we lost, or that he got traded, or hit his bonus. Guy was everything we could ever ask for out of an undrafted FA.
Shame on anyone dim enough to bash Panarin for not carrying us through the hottest team in the league. You want to get mad? Look at the guy who should’ve kept both Saad and Panarin.
Cost certainty is a joke when the cap is going up this year and next. Cups are won with talent, not cost certainty. |

A plea and request on behalf of Blackhawk fans to anyone who attends or watches Icehog games tonight through the remainder of this season and playoffs. The favor i ask is: please watch (if) Tuulola plays....is he willingly physical in his approach particularly in defensive mode to seperate puck from oncoming rush or battle with more than a stick check/poke along the boards.
You should notice a good skating offensive capable dman, but as to particular strength and his read on plays.....you can be our ace reporter. I know a one game sample size tonight or after his first gp is looking at him in his initial game when he might have butterfly moment. Still i believe he very likely fits in at this level. He had been in a top Finnish league and his game reportedly has improved this past season (and concurrently i suggest) his confidence too.
Feel free to report on other players too. I have desire to see Knott as a heavy boards guy. I expect by now that Norell and Rydash play relatively with few errors. Iocopella needs to play witg detetmination, play and win board battles. Set up for quick shots, too, by being crafty and or battling for position since he then could be ooen to let go his quality nhl shot. I see Luis as an effective third line scorer. |

IMO, revisiting the Panarin trade over and over serves no purpose.
1) It was nearly a year ago
2) The trade was not done in isolation
3) None of us here know or will know the whole story
4) Comparing Saad and Panarin is like comparing apples and oranges and the scope of the trade goes beyond this season. The Hawks were likely considering what Panarin will be asking for on his next contract.
I get that this has been a challenging season for the fans but this is hockey and not a life or death situation.
Sometimes in general we (as a group) criticize the coaches, GM, Scouts or Players to the point where it gets a bit out of hand. Essentially none of us have walked a mile in their shoes or been in the situation to do the job. I think for many of us it would be good to just enjoy the entertainment of NHL and take it back a notch. |

Who gets swept up first on the open market? Stanbo or Q - Does anyone think Stan will be hired by another team if he is canned next week? |

IMHO, Q would have a new head coaching job pretty quickly. Bowman may be hired by another team as a scout or other lower-profile player personnel job, not as a GM. |

Not so sure on Iacopelli ever making it to the big show. Seems like another Jeremy Morin to me: heavy shot who likes to shoot a ton but that's about it. If this is any indication, Iacopelli and Noel are the notable prospect forwards to shuttle back and forth between Rockford and Indy (Press for d-men). |

Totally agree. But they are young and have time. A little success msy be the impetus to work harder, change attitude. |

Agree, best to be patient and see how each prospect develops.
Fortin is another prospect who many had high hopes for but those expectations have mellowed out this season with his injury-plagued rookie pro year.
Of the Rockford prospects, T Sikura and Dahlstrom seem to be the biggest surprises with how they've developed significantly this season as far as those who have been in the minor league system for more than a year. |

Panarin set the all-time record for assists in one season for Columbus last night. He is tied for all-time points in one season right now. Not bad ........unless you're Bowman then it's a total and complete embarrassment highlighting what a king jackass he is. Fire Bowjob now before it's too late and he decides he can't sign ABD and trades him for nothing like he did Panarin. - Savoy
I was hopeful at the time that the trade would help the Blackhawks this season and into the future. In hindsight, terrible, terrible, terrible trade. I'd rather have Panarin for two seasons than Saad for four. |

Yep,.....you will..... next year,But in the meantime, I guess we could spend the summer walking around the United Center looking at our three Stanley Cup banners we won in the last eight years.
In the mean time, good luck this year. |

And what if Saad returns to his 25 g 55 pt pace of the three years before this year - and is a force at the other end of the ice?
As I think he will.... |

Any other gm would've gotten at least high first and and another pick for Calder winning, more than 70 points in both of his first two years in the league Super Russian Panarin. Bowman got overrated under-performing Saad and Columbus's third string goalie. Fire him now before he does any more major damage. I guess some guys would rather worry about what one or two prospects might possibly make the bottom six two years down the road or finally realize how most Blackhawk prospects will never make the big club than want to keep a sure thing superstar who single handed boosted Kane to an over 100 point season and scoring championship. |

I also feel confident that Saad's offensive production will regress back to his mean in the remaining years of his current contract and possibly beyond (hopefully resigns again with the Hawks). I still believe 25-30 goals and 55-60 points is his water level despite this dismal season he and the team as a whole had. |
