So glad we were able to save the guy who's going to make over $75 mil in his career the cost of taking a family of 5 a trip to Disneyworld for a week
- Stan_Bowman

I was thinking the same thing. If they're sending the family to Disney World, and sending Seabs to Chelois's old trainer in Palm Springs then I'm good with it.

Just kind of came across as over the top "look at how first class our organization it to announce this during a pregame ceremony on TV!"

I'd be more impressed if they did that for the employee of the year or something. A staff member, someone in customer service, vending staff, etc. Certainly not someone who has zero problems affording that trip every month of the year.

It's amazing that they traded Buff and still won 2 more cups. He's a (frank)ing monster. Great hockey player. Big. Mean. Skilled.

He has his assets, but I don't miss those plays like the one Kane beat him on to score. He did continue to mature as a player after he left Chicago, which was nice to see.

Where was that from Saad for 76 games or so...giving the young goalie for the Jets a hard time.

Saad looks energized tonight. And, yes, not a typical Saad goal.

We will likely need to trade up. If we finish above EDM it's only 1% difference in the lottery

Toews Stat Line Amongst NHL Centers (not all forwards, just centers) this year:

Points: 42nd (41st is Kadri who makes $4.5 mil)

Goals: 49th (37th is Henrique who makes $4.0mil)

Assists: 39th (Turris is 38th who makes $6mil starting next season)

+/-: 149th (yikes)

Salary Cap Hit: #1

Tell me again how it is not an objective assessment that Jonathan Toews is severely overpaid?

- EnzoD

So 1 season is how you evaluate toews? Sad !!!!!

Do you really want me to pull the stats from the previous two years? It's not much better.

As a fan, and a guy who bought a Toews jersey before anyone other player's jersey during "The Run", I simply want to know WHY?? What is wrong with him?
- EnzoD

Wow, you bought his jersey so he needs to PM you.....priceless

I'm going to be curious to see how far Winnepeg goes in the playoffs. I don't think they're in the same class with Nashville (sad to say).

They look like they're missing something to me. Toews back home a possibility ??
Or does the loyalty issue take precidense over a good business decision ??

I hate being "that guy"...

.... but a loss tonight would be HUGE for the 'Hawks.

Detroit is about to win (would only be 3 points behind the 'Hawks with 4 games left).
Edmonton/Vancouver playing tonight, so whatever happens in that game has a big impact on the 'Hawks (they could potentially be only 5 points ahead with 4 games left for the #4 spot).

Looks like Detroit is going to bump up to 69 points tonight and we currently sit at 72. Considering how tough our schedule is the rest of the way, the 5 spot before the ping pong balls drop looks realistic.

these games don't mean much to the jets either: not going to catch the preds and the are 10 pts behind...

barring another one of those implodes we have seen this year...looks like a further lock on the 7th - 8th slot

Sikura is quick with his feet and hands. I like that kids line he's playing on. Gus nice play indeed
