Nope, only if signed with the hawks now. otherwise he would have to play 2 full years on his ELC. it was a 5.0M + decision
- riozzo

How does it get to 5.0M ? Aren't ELC's less than 1.0M/yr? Which would be less than 2M for this year and next? Are they somehow coming up with 3M+ in bonus money over the 2 yrs??

Makes you wonder if wanted this type of contract to see what the outcome with Q is. Does he leave if Q gets the boot?

Being in Denver (area?) Have you seen Denver play much this season. Yikes, down, 2-0, in the game so far. I am merely checking a frozen four site from google search, not streaming a feed on the screen. The Athletic had a story which ranked the prospects. Hillman's success was considered questionable. He skates well enough, has a good shot, is mean, so is he lacking in other areas. Only a junior, reportedly he may want to go professional after this season. What is your view on his future?

Ps. The Chicago Tribune travel section a few months ago had a story about the up and coming food scene in Denver..Chicago is rated as the top food city in the country. Surprisingly enough, though, a few years ago Top Chef reality show had its season in Chicago. One segment was tailgating food at Soldier Field. The winner simply did baked macaroni cheese and hot dogs

Well rather that than the lousy hamburgers at Billy Goat. I have not seen much tailgaiting at Blackhawk games

Ohio State was victorious, 5-1. The season ends for Blackhawks prospects I Mitchell and B Hillman. Hope Enzo was able to view.

Aside: i don"t know about the school song for Ohio State, but when the marching band plays as the players race onto the field at Notre Dame and at Michigan, oh how great to be a young collegiate fan in the stands. Two of the best fight songs.

I’d expect Mitchell to go back to Denver, probably Hillman too. Both are solid prospects but they could benefit from more time developing at the college level.

Also I think it probably makes sense they wouldn't be joining yet considering the # of young players the Hawks have trying to get that foothold in the NHL or at least their role on the team solidified.

A couple random thoughts..

1) I know that possibly things didn't end of 100% the best terms when Antti Raanta was in Chicago, but I wouldn't hate to see him come back to the Hawks as UFA for the right price as the backup (or insurance). The guy has been playing well and is still under 30.

2) A bit surprised to see the Stars stumble down the stretch here (1 win in their last 10 games) after they seemed to have loaded up and brought in Hitch to tighten up the poor D.

I’d like to see Raanta back too, but that would mean the end of Crawford. Raanta won’t come here (or anywhere) to play second fiddle. AR will get a #1 job somewhere, maybe Buffalo, Arizona, Islanders or even Carolina.

Go get him Stan!! Chicago would actually be a good option for Brickley, he could easily make the team next season (a la TvR).

The Sikuras' mother is an accomplished professional health care provider. Their sister appears to be a cross-fit athlete, and the young men seem to be from a solid family. See the following:

I imagine that's Tyler and Dylan's sister? Seems pretty young to be their mom.

Would be great if they did cross fit with her as part of their training regimen. Would be even greater if the Hawks could sign her, too, and have her do off-season/off-ice training for the whole team.

Regardless, welcome aboard Dylan! Look forward to seeing him in the lineup and see what he can do.

And according to the Hawks website, he is wearing #95.

I'm excited to see what the kid can do at the NHL level. I am tempering my expectations, at least for this season. But I'm happy he signed, it never hurts to have more quality prospects in the pipeline.

Blackhawks iPhone app states Sikura is signed and will immediately report to the team. And that his contract runs through next season.

Saw Stan last night walking the corridors at BMO Center in Rockford with his cell phone glued to his ear just before 6pm, bet he was starting to close the deal last night, while the Northeastern body was still warm.

Jokiharju, Hillman and Mitchell all are promising defensive prospects.

The one prospect I’d like to see sign this summer is Soderlund.

To your points my addendum:
On (1): Raanta needs to be a #1. He is going to really be sad, upset camper as a back up. I do not see reason why Phoenix would want to part ways with the diminutive size netminder. Raanta has been doing well and his bluellibe support has not bren anything but average. A lot of offensively talented support but toughness - not so much. The defense is sort of an upgrade of what ours looks like.

On (2): some teams appear to be handling better the great # of games in a compressed amount of days in the season's last month. I should at minimum review the Dallas hockeybuzz.

I would suggest their scoring is hurt by the lack therof from lines 2-4. I have wondered how Hitch would set the forwards to helpo the defensemen in the team defensive schematic. This in response to the seemingly missing true #1 dman.

I sort of like the younger dmen but i sense toughness and experience may not be such a big deal, not lacking badly. Rather, some other areas is perhaps a weakness. Could be not enough strong puck movers, too many dmen in this stage of career may be more a strong third pair but weak second pair. And why has Spezza not contribute more? It seems all season that he has not been a Hitchcock favorite.

Don't know if he has been drafted by any team but hayden or cayden primeau forget the first name big goalie for northeastern keep an eye on him if he hasn't been drafted by another team. Hawks are desperate for goaltending depth another area where bowman has failed at.

I thought that I saw he was a late first round pick last year, but don't remember the team.
