Would rather have the Hawks lose every game, Fire Bowman + Q, and draft in the Top 3

There are some really good players in this years draft but really the big winner is whoever get Dahlin

He is 3x's better than anyone else

HE is that GOOD

If they’re going to replace Bowman, they need to move quickly and get someone in in plenty of time to deal with the draft and quickly following FA gate.

Mcdough will give bowmanone more year to screw things up.

Would anyone do this trade debricant for wilson and second or bowey or djoss. Gives the hawks something that desperately need size grit physicality good penalty killer can move up and down lineup plus get a young d man or get our 2nd round pick back

Would love #27 in Chicago. Trying to recall who wore #27 for us long ago. Roenick? Dar Sutter? JR i think. Last time there was excitement about our #1 outside of the Kane and Toews picks.....was Roenick.

A while back (this blog from Justin) i asked if anyone cared to guess the former Hobey Baker finalist who dressed but did not play one NHL game for Winnipeg Jets . A Canadien, he was a RW/C who played U of Vermont end of 1970's + early 1980's ALSO AN ACCOMPLISHED MLB PITCHER for White Sox and Angels. Drafted 4th round in each sport.

RH starting pitcher in break out year mid '80"s had ten victories that year. Finished career with a 106 - 108 W/L

I will post answer later tonight. Someone ought to be cuious and challenged. Here is a big clue: he surrendered HR to both Griffey's dad and son in 1990 in the same game. Back to back in lineup.....first time iin mlb history a father and son hit hr back to back in the lineup. The pitcher and former hockey player who gave up the historic hr was......

Listening to Habs/ Leafs second intermission panel discussion, the upcoming GM meetings were discussed. Apparently agenda items include offside and goaltender interference calls which have drawn a lot of attention.
What caught my attention was the review of how the LTIR situations for 3 players were handled. Hossa was mentioned as one of the players. Are we not out of the woods with this yet?

Looks like Panarin may put Columbus into the playoffs just like he did for the Hawks last year. He is now scoring at almost a 73 point pace to go along with his 74 points last year. Second worst trade in Hawks history.

Panarin's been a one man show. He is likely going to at least match his totals from last year and with no help. There isn't another 20 goal scorer on that entire team. If he was still playing with Kane he might be leading the league in scoring.

I’m not ok with many Bowman trades but on this one considering all parameters I like it

That being said based on his body of work I would move on from Stan

That's before my time and a Google search wouldn't be quite fair. Regarding Tzchuck, we are in complete agreement. Right now most mock Drafts have Tzchuck going #3. If Hawks end up with #7-9 I would not hesitate to trade both 1st round picks to grab a perennial All-Star Power Forward like Brady Tzchuck will be. For those with NHL.TV, Boston in Tampa Bay just started and has a playoff atmosphere early....1-0 Boston on a slick play by "Pasta" AKA David Pastrnak. Talk about night and day when comparing the gameplay/pace between this BOS vs TB game and CHI vs BUF earlier today.....
- EnzoD

I thought Tkachuk was going to be the fourth or fifth pick. As such, I never thought he'd be on the Hawks. If we win the lottery to get one of the top 3, We'd go Dahlin, Zadina, Svechnikov. And if we don't move up, Tkachuk will be of the board before we pick.

Enzo, Even if this kid falls right in Bowmans lap, this jack off will pick a 5"6 Defensemen from some beer league in the suburbs. That's how much faith I have right now in Bowman, This is fricken Mike Smith all over again with this European bull shlit, next hell hire a coach like Alpo Suhonen . This guy basically has nuked everything Dale Tallon put in place.

I'd say the odds are greater that Q is gone. I can only hope Stan Bowman is shown the door, as well.

Aren"t you making too much ado about the order the teams finish as it pertains to the Entry Draft. The draft uses a lottery selection with odds attached. I surmise the difference in percentage rank could be like 12% instead of 14% to move up one spot and maybe 7% instead oif 8% to land the first overall pick. Somthing along those lines as far as percentage liklihoid to be awarded one spot dufference or the top choice.

Bowey on Wash Caps was bad this season vs us and that was why they traded for Kempny. That is not to say, Bowey could improve or what his ceiling might be. If he us hughly regarded desoute the setback thus seaso, then there is strong consuderatiin to protect him and develop him next season. Would he fill the breach if Carlson walked. I k ow you like his size/ nasty mix wuth overall ability.

I do not blame Hayden for not hitting like he was earlier in the season when he had some support on his line. He is probably smart enough to know that as this team is comprised right now that if he lays a good hit on someone, he will have to fight 3 guys (at the same time).
- 67hawks

This management really did a disservice to him and his development. He's a physical power forward grinder type not enforcer level but a guy who will have to fight to be successful and you don't give him anyone to help him out with his role and watch his back. When he was his most physical he had Tootoo last year which isn't much but at least he had someone watching his back and he took runs at everyone and really got under other teams skins like a matt Barnaby type.
At the beginning of the year he got stuck with bouma and wingles which is more of a 4th line for the playoffs those guys will at least grab a guy in a scrum so you don't get doubled up unlike a guy like highmore or jurco. Now who does he have maybe Murphy, Sharp or Seabrook might help and no one will stand up and drop the gloves for him. But now he is all on his own but he still needs to play the same way and show he belongs Matt Barnaby wouldn't let this stop him. I didn't see the game but I heard he got railroaded by Nolan who is a fake toughguy and no one did anything. Really frustrating to see that he didn't stand up for himself or a tm did. The team is playing like a bunch of Tyler Arnasons.

Here is how the Draft Lottery works
Every team that missing the playoffs is in it.

Round Numbers:
Last three teams combined - 40% chance for number 1
Next 6 teams combined - 40% chance for number 1
Next 6 teams combined - 20% chance for number 1

Hawks now are 8th with a 6% chance for number 1
