ETA: Q was flat out asked by Laz whether he expects his guys to respond when something like the DuClair take down happens. He hemmed and hawed and made excuses about it being hard to interpret as intentional. Seemed to think the penalty being called was enough.

So true - been beating themselves all year. Hawks very easy to beat - be patient wait for the Hawks to self-destruct with awful plays.

One suggestion: Entire Hawks coaching staff and team study the Bruins' PP and see if they can't make some adjustments to mimic.

I hope the NBC National crew RIPS the Hawks entire organization. They should call out the GM, Coach, and entire Leadership Group of the Hawks. I simply cannot see how "status quo" is what John McDonagh and Rocky Wirtz will accept after this disaster of a season.....

But why is that? Is it because this team doesn't have the skill? the heart? Or, is it because they are coached to not respond to these situations? We've heard in years past about the top guys basically begging for a TooToo like player to stand up for them when needed. Were they begging because they saw it as a major flaw in the way the team approaches the game?

I personally hate the fighting, but I have no issue with guys moving people like Chara off of our best players.

Couple things:

Jack Edwards is brain-dead. The UC staff should not even let that guy in the building.
Bruce Cassidy - The leage needs to suspend this guy, since he keeps allowing Marchant out on the ice.
Brad Marchant - If he exits the building with his teammates, Rocky will get a letter from me.
Q - better instruct Toews to take out Marchant, with the result to be suspended the rest of the season. No reason keeping him out on the ice when he has some sort of injury. Perfect excuse to shut him down.

It would be an insult to the Fans to bring back the same Front Office, Coaching Staff, and a nearly identical LAST PLACE roster...all while raising ticket prices. I can only imagine what the local TV ratings for games have been in 2018 compared to the recent past....

Guess the incident showed how little care this team has left. Yes you are not going to make the playoffs, but if Marchand goes an injures a player with a BS move then you go do something. Whoever brought up trying to make a major move to shake up the team I agree. There is a huge culture issue with the so called core on this team. Starts with Q and filters down to the guys wearing the C and A. Could care less if Im losing 8-0. A play like that and its go time.

If I am the owner of this team, this is a critical time. Who continues to play hard and who doesn't is what I am looking for. Your millions in salary is for 82 games. Same goes for Dunkin Donuts behind the bench. I see the so called Core going through the motions while my young kids are trying to get after it. Hmmmmm

Good news on DuClair...so Gus hammers two, but his defense is horrible and that would be the concern not his booming shot. And then you get a frustrated Kane who's been ragdolled all day by Chara and takes the double minor out of frustration...and suddenly you're down two.

As you mention something has to be done. I'd still love to see Francis replace the fanboy GM. But doubt it happens. Wouldn't mind seeing Dineen moved on and Oates forced on Q as the new PP coach.

One more note from the broadcast apparently Q went over to see Sikura play last night there on the East coast. I'm wondering if there's anything to the rumor someone mentioned on here that Sikura wanted to see what happened with Q before he commits to the Hawks...the optics certainly won't look good if they lose that kid.

Q needs to go. Period. This team needs a bucket of soap thrown on it to clean this mess up. Q is not the guy going forward anymore.

Just saw the Marchand play again - even if he doesn't see him until the last minute he should have just collided with him - instead of just running into him he goes into his ballerina leap and nails him...

and as usual the Hawks don't have a response. Q was a physical dman when he played so I don't get this at all. We saw it with Toews last weekend...no response from the team...but I'm reminded of the Hossa incident more than anything else - the Raffi Torres garbage move which should have banned him from the league...and the Hawks in a playoff game did nothing....not a darn thing.

Somebody ought to end this guy's season tomorrow.

The Bruins have it clocked perfectly against every team that would like to kill Marchand. Just try it and you will have to deal with Big Z Chara or McQuaid or Kevin Miller, so Marchand gets away with all kinds of crap every night.

But dealing with the Blackhawks isn't anything other than a laugh for them because they have nobody who wants to play anything other than the over 50 year old non-contact league type of hockey. Thanks Stan Bowman for that roster.

Z you want to change coaches and the message I'm fine with that, but that fanboy GM needs to go big time. Look at the roster especially on the backend. And then start adding up the moves starting with Leddy and go forward that's a boatload of f-ckup by ole Stan that got us here.

That's typical Q SOFT coaching.....and explains exactly why his team plays soft and with no push back on anything. Heck Kane got nailed a couple of times today that were borderline unnecessary and nobody gives a damn. Same ol same ol whether they're in the hunt or not. Who's behind that ? And with him back next year, it'll be more of the same.

Oh I agree. This team needs an LA style change that being the dismissal of the HC and GM. The Bowmans are dug into the Hawks like a tic. Dont know if McD and the upper crusties are ready to can Stan. And if the Sikura signing is hinging on Q staying?

Well WTF is that about? The roster is a mess. The team is lost and playing without purpose and the HC cant/wont/refuses to alter the schemes to make adjustments.
