Per Scott Powers...

Hayden is an emergency recall. Hinostroza is off with a family matter.

- DarthKane

Hino deserved to be sat out in any event. Can’t just have speed skating and no thinking. Constant give-always and reckless passing. He has to stop thinking he is a faster Gretzky or he’ll be a permanent Ice Hog or traded.

That was at least a nice one. Toews/Saad go to the front, Kane good pass to Gus and he hammers it.

Why challenge a very iffy / challenge so early in the game, down only 1-0.

Now no challenge left for later on a more important goal.

Just dumb.

cuts both ways...i have seen less obvious int reversed and egregious int not reversed...with this nhl goalie int (who knows) why not challenge...

Because it’s only 1-0 with 50 minutes left - and maybe a 50/50 chance it will overturn the goal (and I don’t think that particular play was that close.

There like will be a tying or tie breaking goal in the third that should be challenged - if Q had a TO left.

No reason to challenge a first period first goal unless the guy had a knife and stabbed the goalie.

He is a bit like a poor man's Brian Campbell. Not saying he will ever be as much of an game changer, but he can skate and has some good offensive instincts. Not the guy you really want defending, but pair him with a good solid stay at home guy and he can probably be a net positive on the team.

It makes a ton of sense in terms of rewarding a young guy who was sent down to work on his game and has been busting his ass. I heard Hayden was still paying rent on a place while he was down and his salary in the minors is about 1/12th what it is when he is playing for the Hawks.

$832,000 vs $70,000 and a chance for a young guy to play in the NHL vs the AHL. Hayden is a good young player who needed to go down and play some minutes. If he doesn't bring it nightly down the stretch to prove he belongs, then I'd hope they bench him a game or two to send a message.

I’ve got no problem with the call up. My issue would come if they sit him at all. With how lots of starters have played recently and stayed in the lineup, there is no reason he should sit. If he makes a mistake, correct him and keep playing him.

Amazing how much wrong one person can jam into a post. Trading Hartman was a bad move from Bowman. There is no way in hell he ever deserved to be pressboxed when others were making just as many, if not more, gaffs all over the ice.

Q (frank)ed him over. Bowman moved him for a pick in hopes of finding a player that can play in the NHL in 3-5 years and a guy he couldn't let go in the Swede.

My money is on Hartman playing in this league longer than either the player drafted or the Swede.

- TTtime

Look Hartman has started off alright with Nashville. Remember Hartman started off even better with the Hawks this year. However, Hartman is Hartman. While it is true that many Hawks have had missteps this year Hartman’s missteps were simply so much more unnecessary and dumb. Hartman is who he is and dumb is in his blood and it’ll show itself again sooner than later. He was not a difference maker for the Hawks and he won’t be for Nashville. Let’s hope he does incredibly dumb things in Round 1 so the Draft Choice is higher. Did his entourage all move to Nashville?

20/19/88 CF% not much better than the other night thru half the game - 14.3/14.3/40.0.

Kane more effective as Duclair’s replacement than with the “top” line.

When kane watches the replay of that weak backhand centering pass he's gonna see all 6 bruins in the crease and kick himself cuz he will immediately know that the guys up high were WIDE open. Rarely in the last decade has that happened.

Maybe his brains are a bit scrambled today after the hits from Chara. Chara defending Kane and DBC - the size difference is almost funny.
