Victor Ejdsell might never pan out but the fact that he was signed as an undrafted player doesn't mean much. Tons of useful NHL players were undrafted and some real gems and HoF players. Sure, you like the odds of a guy who went 1st round in the draft better maybe, but there is talent all over the world. - breadbag
Sounds like a late bloomer, like many bigger guys. You'd think people would be happy we aquired a 6' 5" 200+ pounder that can score and throws his weight around a bit. He's playing against men in a good league and is still younger than Panerin was when he came over here. Might turn out to be nothing more than a throw in AHLer or maybe he can play, time will tell. |

I did mention that but Kane needs to move the puck quicker at time. Its not that difficult. Movement is the key. The Hawks don't have it. Maddening is what it is. - TTtime
Kane is not responsible for the weak PP. The diamond can be ridiculous. Kane controls puck along Right boards. Does need Right hand D to take one timers. However, Hawks need to spread the ice so that there aren’t 5 or 6 people in front of the net. Net presence is USELESS if there are no shooting lanes. Toews must always play First PP giving Kane another option beside the net. This Anisimov as a non-moving pilon is ridiculous. At blue line need 2 people to draw out PKs. The PP is weak as the Hawks make it easy for other team. The other team can guard everyone easily from a tight box while also allowing no shooting lanes which is insane. The Hawks do a similar idiotic thing when on 5 on 3s. Got to draw the PKs to the points and to the boards. Must use all of the ice surface inside the blue-line. Create open ice, create open lanes - score goals.

Dammit riozzo, you skipped step 8 - you remember you were supposed to apologize to every Q hater on the board before you could move to step 9.

Watching the Preds game, Hartman looks more himself, playing with a purpose. The Preds guy said the GM , when asked about the Hartman trade, he said we really didn't give up any assets...... Looks like little Stanley got had again. I would think , given the Preds roster that they have pretty good hockey evaluators in place in their organization. The Swede is probably as soft as a DQ cone on a hot summer day. Aaaaaaaahhh Boy! Bowman.
The more I think about it, ya trust Bowman to make that pick if some of the big names are there when it's his turn? - wonthecup10
He was rated 10th on one Nashville prospect list which was the highest rating for him I could find. |

What did Bowman do with the 1diamond he found?
For every Panerin there are 500 vorobievs and Yakupovs!
Hey I hope this works out too, but like most other posters?ya trust Bowman anymore? I don't. - wonthecup10

Yep, that is why I say to some guys, " be careful for what you wish for" when it comes to calling for Joel's job. I like Hitch, another H OF coach. Armstrong will be kicking himself in the Ass for letting Hitch go if the Blue implode here. Sorry, but their biggest mistake is losing their smash mouth type hockey identity. Should have kept Backes and a couple of the other tyrants or replaced them with players of similar identity. Ryan Reaves didn't work out in Pittsburgh, he didn't fit their style, but he did well in St. Louis. Hell do well in Vegas cause they play a harder in your face game. |

Yep, he has been all over the ice, playing great hockey...in his defense he is surrounded by a vastly superior team, but he looks like a totally different player.
I didn't mind the trade, but it honestly looks like Stan's trades are just totally backfiring these days. And Q is not helping with his bullpoop....the Hartman I am seeing tonight is NOT the one I've seen in Chicago. I put that on Q. |

Just like the Saad and Murphy trades I think this trade should be allowed to work out, but early returns are certainly not good on any of them. Hartman looks great tonight...
But Q deserves some blame here...the coach constantly benched a player who looks like he's going to be a great fit for a Cup contender.
They may not have a Cup, but damn if that team doesn't look like they COULD get one. |

Yep , kid was out there the last minute in a tie game.... And went to the net! ....son of a female dog Bowman. That kid is gonna blossom into a nice player for the Preds, meanwhile this Swede is already 22-23 years old , instead of him being brought here for the rest of the season then to Rockford for the playoffs, Blowman has him targeted not even for Chicago next year, but Rockford. That kid will be 25 years old before he sees the UC. Wolfe , I'm hot that Bowman didn't get a rostered player for Ryan Hartman, he's gonna have Egg all over his face in this trade just like all the other ones. That is why I don't trust him with making a crucial 1st round pick. |

And supposedly Wingels had a great game for Boston tonight. .... I hate to say it but sometimes franchises just "get on a roll" and everything they do seems to work out...and sometimes it goes the reverse. I fear we're in such a vortex. |

Interesting evening so far. Wingels with a goal and a total hustle assist....atta boy Tommy. And Eric Stahl with 31 goals so far this year. I believe he's at least 3 years older then Toews and is having a comeback year. Is there hope for Toews or No ?? - Hawkytalk
That's what I'm counting on Seeing Stall n Bergevin this year maybe there is hope for Toews |

He had 5 points against the Pens opening night IIRC, then struggled. Good for him, off to a good start. |

The return for Hartman was good, I just don’t see the point in making the trade in the first place. Maybe there’s more to Stan’s plan, I’m reserving judgment until the draft to see how he uses that pick. |

I agree and I am with you on that. I am probably a "Top 10 Stan basher" in here, but I do try to exercise patience and -barring something totally asinine (Danault, Timo)- perspective. Even those trades last summer, lets see how they work out. |

I think the blame is completely on Q , not giving him a chance at his proper poistion , benching him for any mistake , low minutes. Bowman had no choice they to trade him. I feel the Hawks are gonna regret this trade |

Nope. The blame can not be ONLy on Q, Bowman is the one who traded him. But Q isn't helping any of these guys I don't think. It seems sometimes Q just has his pets and then guys who cant do anything right. Hartman was his whipping boy. Hartman is probably overjoyed to be out of this mess. |
