This team has the potential to be one of the worst teams in the NHL over the next 5 years. Simply an abomination on the blue line.

Sorry but the defense personnel Bowman assembled this year are firing worthy. Oesterle, Dahlstrom, and Gustafson continue to show us why they are AHL Dmen. Murphy is a 3rd pair guy and so is Seabs. Keith is the only guy with high end talent on the backend and he's 34.

He's gonna F up this draft!
Agree with Enzo , most of those D men are nothing more than high level house league players !
Sorry, 1 game.... Highmore...... Drew LeBlanc, Tell me more about "plums" you find in the prairie that weren't even good enough to warrant a draft selection little Stanley!
" heyStan,I gotta kid that lives right down the block out playin street hockey every day after school, puttin a lotta dents in his parents garage door with the street hockey pucks, ya wanna sign him"?

Gerard Gallant has less talent both offensively and defensively. Yet his team is the 3rd best team in the league. No matter who SB has traded for over the years Q has either found problems with them or refuses/lacks the ability to train them. The season started with us scoring 18 goals in 2 games by changing his system. 3rd game on its back to his old system. The same system the entire league knows and what happens when the opponent knows what your going to do? You lose.

Stop blaming this on SB, because this is not his coach. Q is an arrogant and selfish jackass. He needs to go ASAP. Trade him, reassign him, anything but his ass better be gone on after the season is over.

Ok......I know this has been beaten to death but I can't believe what I just watched !! Seriously !! That was shameful....

So who's really to blame here ?? You got 3 HOF players on this team that are all around 30 years old. A HOF coach, a class organization, a GM that's won 3 CUPS, a Captain that's supposedly the best in professional sports, on and on and on. What the heck has happened to the compete level and integrity of this team ???? This may be the worse stretch of hockey that this organization has ever endured.

I'm so glad that season ticket monies are due next week !!!!

Laughable...Bowman won 2 Cups that first one was all teed up. Not to mention the core was in place for the 2nd two. While it certainly looks to be time to get a fresh voice in the room, the fanboy GM who's given you this roster needs to go as well. Bowman already has said you're going to see much of the same next year...because he locked in all of these guys with NMCs and huge cap hits. He's got little room to maneuver.

We've already saw him make two moves this past offseason that were for cost control not necessarily for the betterment of the club. Panarin scored again last night. Duclair is the flavor of the month after Bowman handed a ridiculous overpay to Richard Panik based on one good season...shades of Brian Bickell. Somehow Stan found someone to take Panik's deal. But we're thrilled that we can get rid of Duclair after the season...please. Speaking of Bicks TT scored his 17th of the season last night. Another regrettable move in a long line of them.

Everyone's excited that Stan got another first from the Preds which cancels the 2nd round pick he handed to the Habs. Does it? That Danault move still looks to be one of Stan's worst and its the gift that keeps on giving when you see how high the Hawks will draft this season especially for Bergevin.

And before we all get cranked up about the draft there's also Bowman's drafting track record - if you want a good laugh check out Jeff Osborn's two parter on The-Rink.com.

By all means bring in a new coach with a fresh perspective, but you've got to replace the guy who got his gig because McD has a man crush on daddy.

Where's all those paid cheerleaders and fake accounts to agree with them praising those trades from last year? Toews and Saad are playing bad but Panarin isn't. How much does this team miss Hammer and Darling? F**k those paid to push company propaganda liars .

Listened to Q’s last interview on the Hawks’ site. Doesn’t seem to have a care in the world and seems to be taking absolutely no responsibility for the team’s play this year. Basically said if the players had played better the team would not be in this position. Said the entire team didn’t perform except for maybe 2 young players. Q there’s there’s the door buddy - don’t let it hit you in your arrogant ass on your way out.
- Z3Hawk

In my opinion Q knows he's done here. Your assessment of his interview, the line selections that seems to be just a spin of the roulette wheel, the lack of having a team prepared, Granato behind the bench during games, some poster's anecdote that a friend of a friend who works at the UC said he's done and knows it.

Whether it's a complete cutting of ties or a reassignment to another arm of the Wirtz organIzation, Q knows it and is simply playing out the string.

I can’t wait to see that game, the face washes, the shoves after the whistle, The boot in the ass by ducks players as they skate to the bench.and the handkerchiefs be handed out by the trainers on the Blackhawk bench, as players are coming back to the bench whining, “Coach they’re picking on us out there “,You reap what you sow here, Joel and Stan. They are not gonna get that much of a pass from the Kings either on Saturday!

I keep thinking about that unfortunately timed Binnie's commercial that played nonstop during the second half of last season that foreshadowed the Nashville playoff series (and this season):

Q the pastry chef: Yada, yada, yada ...."Profiteroles, or like the guys like to call them, cream puffs."

Q's Cream Puffs- somebody please make it stop!

Justin, head over to Noel Fogelman's latest Isles blog -- it is quite simply a GREAT idea and one which you should probably imitate (remember, imitation is the highest form of flattery). Noel's blog takes the college basketball March Madness theme and turns it into the Garth madness theme -- reflecting on the years of Garth Snow's moves over the dozen years he's been GM of the Isles. It is quite simply great.

You could do this but it would have to be McDonut themed and you'd probably have all the moves made by Rocky from the point of bringing in McDonut to firing Dale and hiring Stan (that could be 1 bracket), then 3 brackets of post-Dale/Stan (and Q). I think it would be quite fun to have it all in one place as at one point or another, we've rehashed virtually all of these moves on this board.

Since our club has regressed to minor hockey level, this would help us pass the time because certainly the only reason now to watch the Hawks play is to see what a comedy of errors will bring us on any given night of play.

Here's the Isles blog link if anyone wants to have a look.

Played a good first 5 minutes, then car wreck. After SJ tied it up, I told my wife if Hawks don't score the 2nd goal its over. Schit it was over. 7-2?? 19 was a joke. Turnovers. Knocked off the puck like nothing. Zero impact. And DK looks like a skeleton. He and 19 need to get off the that Onnit crap. Its possible we might only win 2 more games this year.

If Q’s days were numbered why we didn’t replace him earlier in the season? Twice Pitt did this and twice it lead to Cups in the same year. The team’s management seems in cement.

I will ask again, is Gustafsson/Dahlstrom really a better pairing than Forsling/Rutta? I get the idea of taking inventory, but that really was wtf.

No, no it is not.

Good!
Let this train wreck play itself out. No need to bring up young players to lose their confidence in this mess. The Oilers have shown how to ruin players by providing a bad environment.

On another note, is it just me noting the different expression on Kane's face during these games. In the past his expression would indicate disappointment during losses -lately more like disgust.

i hear what you're saying, but i'd hate to see any of Kane, Schmaltz, Hinostrosa, or Cat get run badly. 'Cuz you absolutely know that there will be NO response.

We've just had almost 10 really good/great years. i think we're heading into a period of time(mostly because of the bad contracts) that could be of significant time as well. That's why i'm for cleaning house upstairs. i have no confidence that the current regime can fix this any time soon(2-5yrs min.). By then, what is left of the so called Core? Kaner, maybe.

I can't answer that but, maybe not having a Crosby or Malkin on the team has something to do with it.

They may not necessarily get hurt but they will be intimidated to the point where they become ineffective.
