A Blackhawks/Predators trade would be shocking.
- kwolf68

No more shocking than moving one of your assistant captains (Sharp) to a division rival... (Dallas)

Stan should be fired if he moves anyone with term within the division. Especially someone young and cost controlled like Hartman

Strickland only confirmed something brewing between Blackhawks and Preds, nothing about Hartman.

Friedman only speculated that it might involve Hartman.

Yes, meant Friedman's account. Both have mentioned Hawks/Preds though.

For a 4th rounder and 25% salary retained. Sorry but do not you trade a top 9 guy to a division rival who just kicked your a$$ in the playoffs and is the class of the western conference. Trading away another guy with a needed skill set because Coach Dunkin Donuts does not like him. Ok!
- z1990z

Think you might have that backwards.

Stan is trying to trade Hartman, Q staples him to the bench when he takes a dumb penalty.

But he whispers in his ear, this is for your own good kid. Stan’s trying to trade you, don’t worry I got your back.

This morning on TDL day Stan dispatches Q to Dunkin Donuts to get him out of the little hair he has left.

That never has made any sense to me.

If you can do a deal that helps your franchise - you do the deal - and worry about if it helps your opponent when you play them.

To turn down a deal because it might come back to haunt you - if you're that concerned about making a trading mistake, don't make any trades.

Well call me timid but I have been a fan since the mid 60's and that Esposito trade (which included Stanfield and Hodge) still haunts me.
That is the chance you take when you trade a young player with upside.

Hinostroza is currently slightlty ahead of ABD in scoring based on 82 games. So where are all the guys who wanted to trade him? Hiding? Good you should hide.

Another thought: The JETS are rumored to be interested in Hartman. Why not involved their toughest challenger and bid up the price.

Anisimov is on the ice for practice. So is Wingels.

The beat reporters are all over - @johndietzdh is doing a play-by-play.

I didn't mean to say they SHOULD trade Hartman to Nashville - only that they shouldn't reject a deal only because it IS to Nashville.

Maybe that's what Stan has done with Nashville. He could be pinning both teams against each other.

I think in the long run we regret this move. Hartman has grit, decent hands and can throw the body. A perfect guy to chip/chase and punish opposing D.

That was my thought Justin. I had NOT heard a damn thing about Preds in on Hartman, but I had seen Winnipeg in on him. NOW, the Preds are in on him. Hey, we still got 3 hours here, call up Peg and get their next best offer.

Id love a top prospect and 2nd for Hartman. I don't want a "lesser prospect", we have enough of those and Nashville's 1 is going to be at the end of the round.

If we get a top D prospect you do it. Hawks have a ton of wingers.

Hawks are the softest team in the Central and have a home grown talent like Hartman who almost scored 20 goals as a rookie, can play C/W, and is a physical player who actually gives a (frank)....so trade him to a rival in the division......

Why don't we wait and see what the return is.

Plenty of time to bury Stan after we find out.

They also have younger, smarter players with grit and scoring ability. They need to get a reliable D-man. Hartman has good value, so find a trading partner who has what we need and make it happen
