Bouma was one of the few on this team that would go after another team for a BS/cheap shot hit. And maybe Wingels. The rest of the daisies on this team just skate away.

If the older pending UFA's get moved, I just hope they get moved to clubs that have a legit shot at the Cup. They have all paid their dues. And any return we get would be a bonus, as we gain bargaining chips to potentially move up in the draft.

My way of thinking is that Oesterle is the right guy for Samuelson system.when Q us not overriding certain things

Further that Gus OR Rutta is the third pair offensive half of a pair..

Fairly certain that no one else can step in and is better unless they draft Dahlin or give Dshlstrom.a job.

So why no on BOTH Rutta and Gus.

I think they realize no one else is ready to challenge, not right away although Snuggerud if develops enough defensively could supplant on third pair.

Certainly they monitor the progress of some of their drafts, some whom.may already they suspect will prove in time to have a higher ceiling than their current cast of mainly third pair type

But those third pair type ALL return next season?

Maybe they hope some of them will develop enough to warrant higher compensation once they are moved most likely not at this trade deadline

That never has made any sense to me.

If you can do a deal that helps your franchise - you do the deal - and worry about if it helps your opponent when you play them.

To turn down a deal because it might come back to haunt you - if you're that concerned about making a trading mistake, don't make any trades.

My thought is that it will be a dman in their 5-7 range (as they have a surplus). We'll take a Dman (Ellis?) a C that wins faceoffs/forechecks and pick/prospect

For a 4th rounder and 25% salary retained. Sorry but do not you trade a top 9 guy to a division rival who just kicked your a$$ in the playoffs and is the class of the western conference. Trading away another guy with a needed skill set because Coach Dunkin Donuts does not like him. Ok!

If AA and Hartman move within the division, there would have to be serious return back to Chicago as those guys would be with the Preds for the forseeable future, playing the Hawks 6+ times a year.

Anisimov's agent tells me they have not been asked to waive his no-move clause. His NMC changes to a 10-team trade list July 1. For now, he's not going anywhere.

Why not make a play for Maxi Domi? I see no benefit trading with the Preds. It has to be a very good return for us. Not a wash. Not doing what Q wants, but a very good deal for us.

Per a source, the #CBJ did indeed inquire about Artem Anisimov's availability, but only offered a third-round pick, and wanted the Blackhawks to retain half Anisimov's salary. Went nowhere. Anisimov was approached about waiving his NMC, though.
