Hawks fans are a lot like a lot of football fans. Everyone's favourite player is the back-up QB.
- BINGO!

Or whichever GM (Tallon), player (Leddy) or coach (uhhhh...Keenan?) got away.

If Stan cant get anything done in a sellers market .He should be fired!!!! If Q goes I have serious reservations of the path of this team moving forward
- hawk66

Funny I feel the complete opposite ,unless some one offers a 1st and prospect for either AA Or Hartman U don't sell ,if you can get a 3rd for Wingles u do it . Otherwise stand pat .
If Q is not gone this team will be in deep do ..

Justin...you ought to rename your blog: We Hate Stan...

my goodness the disdain here is over the top

- bogiedoc

Have you seen how people talk about Q, Toews, Seabrook (yes I've been down on him), Saad, McDonough? Yet only when Bowman is bashed does anyone take offense.

So he my have his share of people who are down on him in here, but he sure as hell has his share of apologists.

Back up the truck. Move anyone not named Kane where you can get your price and the dreaded NMC can be waived.

I can't believe the amount of disdain people have for our Coach who has won 3 Cups, with 2 different goalies, multiple lineup changes and had to win 1 with Kimo Timmonen on the roster.

I'd be happy with that. I could see Stan making some moves to help improve Rockford's chances of making the playoffs.
- DarthKane

I would like to see Rockford do well but if we bring up some of their better players after the TDL to fill vacant spots, the Icehogs will lose some main cogs.

Not really, there are defenders for all you mentioned besides maybe McDonough just because i don't think anyone really knows or gives a poop when he gets any trash talk.

Ok so you're saying they are all treated the same? I'm good with that. But lets not pretend Bowman gets any more bashing than Q. YES, Q annoys the poop out of me with his antics and I'm fine if he moves on, but Bowman has his hands on this demise as much as Q.

So if there was interest in Hartman wouldnt it have made sense to keep him in the lineup?

Why do you think Q was dispatched to Dunkin’ Donuts this morning lol.

No, i don't think we're on the same page really.

you said something like only stan has apologists or something, but i was saying it seems like the rest you mentioned have their own supporters as well.

Not trying to start another stupid stan bowman debate. There will be plenty of that after the deadline today ha.

Fair enough. But he also had a hand in the team’s success along with Q which the people who don’t care for him seem to be unable to grasp because they worship at the altar of Uncle Dale, or giving credit to more than one GM is too complex, or he traded their favorite player...

For starters, I don't speak for others. I just don't believe Bowman is a very good GM and the proof is starting to come to fruition.

However, I do NOT defend Uncle Dale. There were other people other than Dale who drafted the core of what would eventually the team that became the best, a core group that almost all of them were in place when Stan got the job. But it was NOT Dale alone.

I also have not been a Q apologist. I like him, think (thought) he should stay, but some of his moves confound me and it's wearing me thin. So I don't hold much love over him.

Toews and Saad I've bashed this year, but of late I like their game. So I have said that.

If Bowman does anything worth a crap I'll be the first to admit it. Honestly, I still like the Saad and even the Murphy trade. I think those trades are still "working themselves out". If they turn out to be good trades great Ill applaud Stan.

Even though he missed in 2016, I was HAPPY he went after Ladd. It didn't work out, but it was the right move and I've said as much. But other trades (even those during Cup winning years) that are beyond foolish I will also call out as well. I've given Bowman credit where it was due, but I personally believe he has been bad more times than good.

Good point....that was probably to set-up an Anisimov (50% retained) for Bollig trade today.

At this point it doesn't matter. If it's on of the pending UFAs and the return is decent then why not.

What does Stan have to trade that's of any value? All the pending free-agents (UFAs) aren't that great and anyone they might want to trade (AA) aren't typical TDL moves. I'd expect a very quiet TDL, maybe Wingels is the only one to go. The draft could be a lot busier though.
- DarthKane

I agree. Wingels has some value. Rutta may have some value also, but I would hope the Hawks try to resign him. An under the radar move could be moving Sharp. AA has a NMC (and even if he agreed the return must be substantial). With the lack of depth at Center I do not mind keeping AA. His contract is reasonable. Hartman, like Kempny, has shown enough to draw some interest, but I would not sell him cheap.

I do not think Q or Stan lose their jobs.Whether we like the team as much as Stan does, or not, the team that starts next year will look a lot like the team that ends this year. Because of the extremely high salaries of Seabs, Toews, Kane, the NMC's, and the cap there is very little flexibility.

One key thing is Crow's health. If Forsberg plays most the games the rest of this year and does alright and Crow is healthy we should be set in goal for a couple of years. If Crow is not healthy he will probably go on LTIR and the Hawks could sign Raanta. I think Raanta and Forsberg would be ok and save some cap space.

Per a source, the #CBJ did indeed inquire about Artem Anisimov's availability, but only offered a third-round pick, and wanted the Blackhawks to retain half Anisimov's salary. Went nowhere. Anisimov was approached about waiving his NMC, though.

Almost offensive.

The Blackhawks’ asking price for Ryan Hartman is said to be a first-round pick plus something, according to a source.

- pdx2ord

Hahahah wow. Bowman needs to go he has zero respect from the NHL GMs. Tomas Plecanec is awful and got 3x this laughable offer. Derek Brassard isn't much better than Anisimov and got a king's ransom from Pitt.

FIRE BOWMAN!
