The rumor was TOP prospect
OR
fair prospect and a 1st.
The first is obviously what Bowman wanted. What he does with that will determine this trade. |

If this Ejdsell guy makes the Hawks next year, this is a big time win for the Hawks. If Ejdsell turns out to be a Dennis Rasmussen type of player, then it's just a #TANK move. Either way, given how the situation with Q + Hartman boiled over last game, this shouldn't be too surprising. IF this late 1st allows the Hawks to trade up and draft Tzchuck, I think all of us will be ecstatic. - EnzoD
Your last sentence Enzo,Makes it all better for me, I just think Stan home and is going to screw it all up. To have TKACHUK, Debrincat,Schmaltz Leading the charge is the next wave of “the core” Would be sweet, but knowing Stan Bowman he will throw it all up or wild hogs ass! |

what I rememberer reading about him is that he was confused about this role. If the Preds give him some things to focus on, he might do well. - matt_ahrens
Confused? The game is not that difficult. Take the puck away from the other team. Shoot it into your opponent’s goal when you have it.
It appears this kid thought he was better than he is. He’s a cement head. He took bad penalties in the A and doubled down on it in the NHL. I’d put my money on him never scoring 20 goals in an NHL season.

So I'm confused. According to elite prospects, Ejdsell spent the entire season in Sweden's top league...
What, are we mad that he didn't play in the KHL?
http://www.eliteprospects...m/player.php?player=29343
Either way, Ejdsell wasn't the point of the deal. - TexasHawk
You know what...you may be right. I’m used to seeing it as the SEL, not the SHL.

as a side note I looked around and the general the SHL is rates the 3rd best league in the world. I have no idea how his game translates on the smaller ice but in general taller guys take longer to get there skating down. At least he did not step back by moving up leagues he went from MVP to top 10 in goals. his team is middle of the pack so that is a good sign IE he is not on a team that scores a ton. the next highest on his team are 14 and 10. |

Honestly we'd be lucky if Ejdsell ever makes the team. Yes his highlights looked good but he's in the second league in Sweden, not the SEL. We'll be lucky if he's a Kampf, let alone an Anisimov. - ObeseOprah
The SEL isn't a thing anymore, it's the SHL. He's been in it all season. |

Ejdsell is playing, and succeeding, in one of the best leagues in the world. To say this guy is trash with no potential and will never play in the NHL is silly. |

If I'm not mistaken, SEL is now SHL, which is where he is playing. It is the top league in Sweden. |

I mean, you definitely have a point. The SEL/SHL, although Sweden's top league, is not the NHL. I'd venture a guess and say the Hawks might have a better shot than Nashville at developing Swedish players though. |

@JonathanToews on Hartman (1 of 2):
"He's so physical, he scores goals … he can do a little bit of everything. That's the only thing I can really comment on is how much he'll be missed, and what type of player and a guy he is. ...
(2 of 2):
"Other than that, I don't really understand or see the whole picture right now. Obviously that will take shape as we go along. I'm sure management knows what it's doing." |

Looking back, I think the Hawks were one of the teams interested in signing Ejdsell in 2017, but he decided to go with Nashville. |

He draws far more penalties than he takes. In fact, he’s near the top of the league in drawing penalties. |

That is correct and there will be a period of transition, but players coming from the SHL are easily project-able due to the talent and competition. I suspect this player will be in camp next year with the Hawks and likely starts in the AHL to adjust to the rink size. |
