Amazing what an infusion of speed and youth can do for a team.
It's almost as if every successful NHL team in the league has a stockpile of young guys and tweeners in the AHL chomping at the bit for a chance in the NHL and- when they get the call- they infuse a bit of energy into the line-up because they're fighting for their potential careers and other players feed off that. What a novel concept. - MaximumBone
I remember how you were complaining about how they lacked size and how they'd never fit in with the Pacific division.
And that ain't a knock on you, that's how quickly the game has changed in the past two or three years. |

Leagues changing again and once again we are behind the curve... we needed a heavier team for years and finally get it... now the league is going all speed |

Bit of a side note, but did anyone else notice McDavid chirping and getting on Kesler's case pretty hard this game? Seemed like he was going out of his way to bother him for a change. |

I'd posit that it was just about everyone complaining about a lack of size. However, advocating for more size isn't synonymous with getting rid of most of our speed. Really striking transition the game has taken and I'm not sure we'll see a rebound back towards size for a while. The game is growing to the point where it might actually need to compete with the likes of basketball now and to do so, you need offense and speed. |

Key traits in a GM is foresight and adaptability; I think I can confidently say Petey has neither. I guess we'll see this coming year if he at least can adapt. |

He can (frank) off and retire in obscurity. Praying he never wins a Cup. |

Trading Letestu and maroon will be a good start. |

Not a whole lot. The Warriors are a joy to watch and some of the stuff Westbrook can pull off is ridiculous, but not super engaged in the sport. However, I can totally see why it's so popular: pace, offense and personality. It understands that it's first and foremost an entertainment product. The NHL should learn a lot from the NBA in that regard. |

Swapping a slow, blackhole of garbage for a speedy guy with some flair is a good start. |

If you're not gonna offer any manner of legitimate intellectual challenge to my claim, then don't bother coming around here. Poking and prodding while offering no counter point doesn't get the conversation anywhere. |

Him, Perry, Getzlaf, and Miller can all suck my balls. |

Yeah the Warriors are insane. But I think the Raptors can win it this season, or at least make the finals. Also probably gonna buy a Vancouver Grizzlies jersey.
At this point I'm starting to like Basketball and Soccer more than Hockey. Just so many years of Edmonton being bad. I like Baseball in the summer as well |

I don't like Getzlaf and I think he's dirtier than he gets called out for, but I can at least respect him for his overwhelming ability to take over games. Kesler and Perry are genuine pieces of trash that go out of their way to break rules, obstruct, agitate and just generally degrade the quality of the sport. |

Yea but for his size he barely hits and try’s to dangle around guys and can’t score easy tap ins and he can’t play Defence. |
