Define "not panning out". He's a big bodied 19 year old two-way forward working his way into the league. Expecting much more as of now is a tad overzealous even if you hold draft pedigree in high esteem.

Most of the time the hype around a high drafted kid is for them to be impacts real soon. Fan bases do it to the kids. Im not saying he isnt going to be good. I just dont think NYR is going to go for potential on a kid whos already been in the league a couple of years. Panning out is wrong wording for sure.

Yeah I'm all for keeping him as well. Unless a team calls with something that we absolutely can't say no to. I mean based on his play lately I'm sure it would peak a few teams interest. I also don't trust Chia at this point but at his presser when he said we aren't blowing this thing up I hope he meant he's not moving out our younger guys.
