Sheng Peng: Does Ryan Reaves Fit Vegas? Scouting the newest Golden Knight -- he's probably better than you think, but there are some legitimate questions

He's a good goon to have around when you play the harder hitting team but just think of the trade as a free pick for cash deal.

Agreed kingsfan, Once Bellemare and Carrier return from IR, Reaves probably won’t play much for Vegas, it was all about the pick.

If you watched any playoff series with Reaves he is a liability every shift.

Quoting Ryan Wilson will always give you a bad opinion on Reaves. While you're quoting him, quote some of his statements made about your #1 goalie. (also not so glowing)

Give Reaves a job with a little help & he'll be ok, expect him to help others & youre in some froth & bubble.

Don't agree. There's good, there's bad, which is what I saw.

Agree to a point, but he wasn't great in PIT, and PIT/VGK are more similar than STL/VGK

Having him in the line-up makes them a worse team. Definitely when it comes to the eye test and we'll find out soon enough when he unfortunately skates for us.

So does Turk keep rolling out his 4 lines like he likes to do or with a player like this in the line up does he keep Reaves at 6-7 mins a game which is all he should see? I've never understood dressing a guy and playing his that much though. In this day and age you don't need to waste a space in the line up on a guy like this.

Hopefully this will all be a mute point and he can spend most of the season in a nice suit in the suites being scratched. I've never wanted Carrier and Pebbles to get back so fast. Even then I fear he may actually get in the line up ahead of Lindberg and Leipsic, which is just sad.

Hyka sent down already.

Hyka sent down mainly to keep him eligible for AHL playoffs. Have to be on AHL roster at trade deadline.

My best guess is Reaves plays until either Bellemare or Carrier returns, over Lindberg and Leipsic.

Carpenter has definitely earned the last spot at this point, so you just need one to get healthy and stay healthy.

Thought I heard Carrier started skating the other day again. Hopefully soon.

The big question is what to do when both are ready. Who sits then, Carpenter, Carrier or Eakin?

Cant believe this much time was spent writing , justifying , adding a goon ! Too bad he didn't stay with Pittsburgh, bringing the talent level down a little

This is what I'm thinking when everyone is healthy.

Smith-Karlsson-Marchessault
Perron-Haula-Neal
Tuch-Eakin-Carpenter
Carrier-PEB-Nosek

With Reaves, Leipsic and Lindberg as the healthy scratches and getting some playing time when Gallant decides to get a different look. Hopefully everyone can get healthy soon and stay healthy and we don't have to see Reaves wear the jersey too much.
