Trade: #Preds  acquire forward Brandon Bollig and goaltender Troy Grosenick from #SJSharks .
- walleyeb1

I thought we just made a trade. Forgot that Bollig (too close to the name Bouma) does not play for us anymore.

Kane, Keith, DBC and AA are the most movable pieces. Of them, only AA should be moved. Thats about it.

UPDATE: looking less likely that the Crawford to LTIR strategy is going to happen.

Stan was keeping it open as an option, but there doesn't appear to be a dance partner.

Outside of that, the market for physical guys is slim (like Bouma and Chris Stewart who were both waived today). Stan tried to move Bouma but found no takers.

I'm hearing, unless a desperate team calls Stan back, it doesnt look like the Hawks are going to
do too much this deadline.

Wingels (more versatile and skilled than Bouma) appears to have some value and Franson (RHD and experience) sound like the most likely candidates to head out of town shortly.

If Stan can't get anything of value as a seller in this market then he should be fired. Absolutely ridiculous.

One would think there is a market for AA. Lack of a trade has me thinking nothing will happen now.

Wonder if he even approached any of the big names or AA about waiving. Think if a Keith was available, it would be a different story re: teams wanting to play ball.

If Stan can't get anything done then he should be done. You would think he has been taking to the cleaners every year at this time over the he last 6 years maybe he could have learned something.

Yes, Q, let's stop pretending we have three or four scoring lines and that you'll be able to find that elusive "balance." We aren't outscoring our opponents, so put the scorers together and see if that changes. See if those guys are the future to be protected in the summer.

My bad. Yes Hino over Sharp, but let Sharp start the last few games of the season so he can retire after.

In order to get something as a seller in this market you can’t get anything of value if you don’t have anything worth buying.

Not fully true.

The Hawks have something that teams want (cap space). They should try to take on a bad contract at the very least. According to Cap-friendly, they have ~4 million in deadline space available. More if they can LTIR Crow for the season.

They should be trying to eat an expiring contract and take some picks as compensation.

Doing nothing is unacceptable.

Justin is this TDL for bowman a test or evaluation of what bowman can accomplish and mcdough and wirtz looking on with the intent of what decision they should make on bowman? I know you mention that bowman had full control to do what he wants with the team, but not putting crow on LTIR is not smart and if by the of the TDL tomorrow and only moves he makes are moving kempney wingles and franson I consider that a failure in my opinion.

it's better to get something then nothing for guys that will be ufa's. And after seeing what other teams are getting for players anisimov and Hartman can fetch something good. I can't believe a playoff team wouldn't take bouma. He plays physical almost every night and not bad defensively and is making under a million. I think why so many players were waived today to is because if there clear then traded the new team can send them down without losing them and call them up whenever. A lot of playoff teams could use him

The Jets, Flyers and Panthers have been sniffing around Ryan Hartman. But I get the sense the Blackhawks' asking price is too high.

@MarkLazerus
Hurricanes, not Panthers. Sorry. Got my Carolina mascots mixed up. I'm dumb.

Wonder what qualifies as too high. And, if they are bringing back Q, will Hartman even be a key piece?

Price too high smells like GM afraid to start pulling the trigger on things. Critical trade deadline and off season for Stan.

Also of note the sharks called up mashinter. He s a goal scorer now I don't think he's fought this year. As a 4th line tough guy if he could accept his role he might still be here but it's clear he doesn't like it.

we are going to be the same team next year. Needed to be more aggressive with the trade deadline. Sharp in the off season returned SCUDS and a 4th lines. At the trade deadline you get a 1st and a prospect. I think both Q an him need to go. We need someone that understands we are not a few players away. All of the main 4 are either going to be the same or worse next year.
