I hope not. He’s the heart of this team.

Glenny won't be traded. Leafs won't pay Kenny's asking price. Babs would. But he isn't the GM.

That second is a pretty good ask

I' d accept this offer:

TOR - Glendening + 2018 6th (Mon) + 2019 5th (Buf)

For

DET - Moore + 2018 2nd (lower pick/ worst between SJ & TOR) + 2018 7th (Ana)

How the hell are you guys going to resign Larkin, Mantha, AA, Frk, Bertuzzi, and Mrazek btw... all with about 12m in cap space... and nearly 90% of your players have NMC's/NTC's...

We've done a horrible job of tanking so far. I can't see Moore changing it.

Mrazek won't be qualified. Green is gone. That's 10 Mil right there. Bridge deals likely for Larkin, Mantha, AA. Kronwall is a possible LTIR candidate. Cap is going up a bit. We're still in Cap hell but with plenty of room to sign the young guys.

See, this would be plausible if Holland wasn't the GM.

Don't forget about Frk and Bertuzzi btw. Probably gonna want a raise too (like 2m at least).

You also have to worry about potential offer sheets too...

Man, I feel soo sorry for you guys. There is Chia and then there is Holland.

You'd really let Mrazek go?

I'm hoping Holland is gone. He doesn't have a new contract YET. He's likely trying to convince Ilitch Jr. that he has a plan to win the Cup in 5 years. πŸ˜‚ Ilitch Jr. might buy it. Who knows?

If Holland is shown the door, I certainly hope one of his minions, Draper or Martin, are not his replacement. Then Holland would still be the De facto GM assuming he's kicked upstairs and named "Director of Hockey OPS." This is what I fear the most.

If Holland is gone, and the new GM is hired outside the Ilitch Family tree, then I hope he can emulate what Hextall has done in Philly.

He inherited Holmgren's mess and tore down the team and has patiently built it back up. Philly is going to be good for a long time because of how well they've drafted.

The Wings have to be creative and slowly rid themselves of these albatross contracts. Abdelkader, Helm, Nielsen, Ericsson, Dekeyser are the main ones. Kronwall and Howard only have a year left. As long as Holland is here, Howard will never be traded. He's Kenny's love child.

Status quo Kenny Ho has drafted horribly and rewarded average players with contracts they didn't deserve. He has a puppet head coach who is in over his head at the NHL level. Cliches, making excuses, and throwing young players under the bus while never holding veterans accountable does not win hockey games.

The Wings need a reckoning. Will they get it? That's the question.

Yes I would. He's too inconsistent. Looks like Patrick Roy one game and then goes back to being Andrew Raycroft. To be honest, I'd like to see him go to another team and become a star just to shove it up Holland's a$$. But he's too inconsistent.

We will have to be very lucky in the draft lottery to get the first pick to draft Dahlin. With our luck, we'll likely be drafting around 8th. Should get a good player but nothing compared to Dahlin.

Nah, just stock up on 2nd rounders and you can draft another lindstrom. 80-100 pts a year. guaranteed.

Yep.... ditto to all of this. Spot on.

Just one exception... I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Mrazek yet. Agreed he's been inconsistent, but I'm still holding out hope he will get his swagger back and shore up his game. I saw this kid win the Calder Cup as a rookie in GR, and I think he still can get better. That can't be said about Howard.

I really hope Chris Illitch cuts the cord with Holland. I don't want Holland in the front office in any capacity in Detroit. I'd like to see Blashill gone too.

I'm skeptical Holland will let Glendening go. Him and Blashill are both have some stupid mentality the team can't survive without him.

We're signing that defensive stalwart Karlsson as a UFA in the Summer of 2019. πŸ˜‰
