For the life of me I can't understand why fans hate early starts.
Canuck fans should love them, it gives them the entire evening to plan their bridge jump.
I am well. You? How's the mood been in here? Positive? - bloatedmosquito
Western road swing is tough and is a total disaster. Sad. |

I didn't think the immediate future was relevant. It's still about building. Ws and Ls shouldn't be the concern. It's more about the 'how' right? |

he seems like a slight upgrade over Polak.
Bozak, McElheiney, Polak for Cole, Maatta
? - Feeling Glucky?
can we just throw Marincin in... or would that mean have to give the Pens an additional draft pick as well? |

Yes. In fact, losing is good. It gives Babcock an excuse to yell at players and demote them to the 4th line via a ceremony that I assume is very embarrassing and demeaning. |

Yeah, once upon a time me and Mrs. Wedgie lived in Boston. We used to love the 2 pm Saturday afternoon games there - get some poop done, go to a game, come home, maybe have a nap and then go out again.
The mood here in Leafs Nation is...strange. We spent the 1st half of this week beyotching and moaning about our backup goalie.
You know we are in a good place when people's greatest concern is the guy who will get 10 starts this year - and guys worry he will only win 4 of them, when we really want him to win 7 of them. |

Same. If the small-man syndrome is as strong in the players as it is the fans they will play like it's game 7 in the SCF. |

I know this is 1968-2015 Leafs fan talking, but I fear that winning the 1st game of the western swing now allows the team to dial down the intensity.
We got 2 points. We only need 2 more points to make it a successful trip.
We are totally going to mail it in against Edmonton, and then continue the suckage against Vancouver.
18 wheeler - right off the cliff.
Damn. |

As much as I an weary about the Leafs' inconsistency, I personally have 0% doubt that the Leafs will win in Edmonton. |

my concern with the backup is injuries. true, the one game above or below .500 won't make a difference .... unless mcbackup has to play 10 in a row because andersen goes down.
injuries become an excuse for teams that don't have the depth to overcome them.
that and play your best players. seems like we could have 2 better goalies in the ahl than mcbackup. |

6/6 - Symba007
3 home games and 12 road games in 15 games (including last night). would be a great way to start that tough stretch. |

All joking aside, these high profile games are important to young players. I'm hoping our young guys can put on a show regardless of the outcome. Lots of speed, lots of goals, with a sprinkle of truculence. |
