If the cap legit goes up a good amount this summer, Seabrook's contract is not that much an issue atm. Plus, Seabrook's been playing really well - less special teams time has made his 5v5 time be solid. Murphy-Seabrook has been the most defensively responsible pairing for a while, though Forsling-Rutta has been more exciting / engaging.

And right on cue when talking bad about a player, Keith with a great play to breakup a odd man rush and then breakout Kane and a goal.

Going forward, for the next 5 years, Seabrook's contract will be a bigger and bigger deal. If the Hawks can move that contract and save even $1 million a year in doing so. It'll help.
Q has been able to shield him somewhat recently. Playing him fewer minutes.

THE Cat can finish, plain and simple. You just can't teach that ability to read the game and constantly put yourself in a position to dent the twine. Awesome effort thus far, though that 2nd goal was one Crow wants back for sure. Manson dropping the gloves and scrambling to put them back on is pure gold.

For years, the Ducks have been known to be sorry with their sticks. Up 3 goals, the Hawks just gotta walk away. No need to give these guys extra powerplays.
