Good for Ottawa, they looked and played like the better team in both games. The Avs had their chances, but guys like EK and Stone are too tough to counter with our current roster/experience. I think Col could've earned 2 points in the first game, and then this weekend would've had a different feel.
Couple things I noticed, as did everyone else who watched both games:
Kerfoot is unreal, and can fill the #2 C spot (hes no Malkin or whatever, but we aren't expecting lord Stanley anytime soon)
Girard was what Sakic waited for, and 2 games in, it shows why
Duchene doesn't miss the team, and now knowing that he wanted a trade since last Xmas (and then gave up in the last 33 games of last season) we can all have a lot easier time moving on knowing what kind of team player he is.
Still above .500 👍

Nice to see Matt off the score sheet. I really like the trade. Just hope they can figure out how to not allow 40 shots every game and also get doubled in shots. They have the goaltending to make a deep run. Shame it's always wasted by the loose play . Hoping the D gets tougher with the Avs cupboard on hand.

It has been a while but I do remember. I'm having a hard time recalling when the Sens were ever 1st.

I love Girard, let's see what Kamenev can do. This could be the best trade Sakic has ever made.

Zadorov not making the roster is a big step back for the Avalanche. I was hoping he could solidify the defense this year.
