JJ - your blog posts have been great: sure I didn't always agree with all of them, but no one can deny that they were thoughtful and thought-provoking.

I am not the typical Australian Hawks fan- as I am basically a suburban Chicago guy that lives in Australia ... but, anyway -you got a faithful reader on the far side of the world ... not to mention I lurked for several years before I ever joined.

A job well done, sir.

JJ,

Sorry to see you leave.

I wish you all the best with the next phase of your hockey loving career.

Your blobs were always a good read and almost always thought provoking.

You will be missed.

A job well done, Sir.

Wow I'm shocked to read this JJ. As much as my 'love' for the Hawks is less than great, I did enjoy your blogs & opinions.

Who is going to control this wild bunch of Hawks kool-Aid drinkers now?

A la prochaine John.

John,

thanks again for everything. For me personally its been a great 5 plus years reading your stuff. I think the thing that I enjoyed the most was the honesty and non homerism as opposed to the sugar-coated fluff we constantly get from the Chicago beat scribes. Look forward to the-rink.com. But it won't be the same here.

Hate to hear you're leaving, you're one of the good ones. Congratulations and all the best moving forward.

You were about the only thing i didn't hate about the Blackhawks. Now there's nothing left.

First drafted, now signing a big deal after becoming a UFA.
You are leaving this place better than when you got here.
Good luck and see you on the other side

Good luck JJ from a frequent Pens reader. I'd say you were easily the most passionate writer on this site. You will be missed.

I lurked since the beginning of the site. In 2009 I stuck my head out of the foxhole to discuss Seabrooks skating with Wiz and Crawfords netminding with JJ as I disagreed with both guys on their positions. And since then this site and especially this blogger has been part of my daily routine. If I had a dollar for every time I hit this site I would be on easy street. I've had a bunch of work project deadlines sneak up on me as a result of my involvement here, but not a single regret.

I know what the end of an era feels like and this qualifies as that. But I look forward to staying in touch with the game not only here but stalking JJ at the new site as well.

So John, best of luck with the new thing going on. Hope you get to wet your beak a little too as a result.
