Nice job!

I have a feeling Domingue will look like a Vezina finalist tonight.

Interested to see how the Hawks fair in the desert tonight...the Yotes apparently haven't won a game yet. Which of course means trouble for the Hawks.

Hammer is a big loss for this team. Moving forward interested to see how Murphy works out.

At what point if the hawks continue to struggle do the upper management entertain changes need to happen whether that's with coaching staff gm or players? Its still early and no time to panic yet, but the same problems the hawks have had the last 2 years are the same problems they are having this season with the exception of more physicality in the hawks game. To me faceoffs is the biggest problem next d zone exits and o zone pressure not getting the pucks to forwards fast enough to relive pressure not enough board battles won and going to the net. Power play is a joke same forever now perminter cross ice passes looking for the pretty play which isn't there most of the time attack the net put 2 players in slot one in front of the net and the other higher in slot rotating in and out. Shots against ok where are they coming from is the ? outsides the circles or inside the circles don t have the stats. And once again relying on goaltending way to much. So to the panel when does change come if the hawks continue to struggle and what changes would you do?

Easy win? Arizona is overdue for a win and they’ll get it tonight against the struggling Blackhawks.

Struggling? You seriously don't see that they clearly deserved the win against Edmonton? Hit 3 posts. Got stoned by Talbot on a few others. Our flopping diving dmen blocked a ton of shots including a couple that were essentially empty nets if they didn't block them. Toews had at least 5 grade a chances.

You guys need to calm down. The Hawks could have easily won 6-1. They didn't. It happens in the NHL every night that a team wins when they don't deserve it and vice versa.

poor 5 on 5 puck management is going to lead to shots and chances for the other team...highly fortunate craw and fors have been up to stopping all that rubber..

to the coach gm comment earlier:

As long as points are accumulated and they look better closer to before the all star break I don't think there will be anything drastic done - unless the right player is available for a reasonable price.

Since Dutch and Galchenyuk haven't moved anywhere I'd guess that market is a little ridiculous right now or those players aren't available.

Its been a screwy start but they're getting points and I've seen enough positives to think they eventually click and go on a nice run. But that's totally subjective and its fair to argue the other way. Why they play them and crap.

I pray that you are correct
I expect Q will change some of his coaching ways
I have faith in Samuelson to help the defense

More than just "this."

I noticed we get outshot. But other teams with no better a defense than our starting six must be doing something better than us, or getting lots of help from forwards

Check this out: the Edm Oilers next game Philly held them to 24 SOG. Was the system played. The coaching?
The Flyers vaunted six defenders; R Gudas, S Gotsibehere
R Hagg, I Provorov, T Sanheim, S MacDonald.

Queeneville coaching won three Cups but his ways are-old and he or his players too often run a PP or give lethargic effort. Q MUST change some of his coaching ways or he is going to eventually be fired.

Yea and guys just have to figure it out. They solved the mobility issue on D. I think they need to figure out what they want the 2nd and 3rd lines to be.

Part of the issue, again, is exiting the zone and sustaining pressure. That first game there wasn't a lot of hesitation and they went at the Penguins full speed. It looks to me like they are trying to leave the zone too cautiously and without enough urgency.

It also looks like a lot of guys are figuring out where they fit in and what their role is. It isn't an excuse but with how different this team is from last years, there is going to have to be an adjustment period. The challenge for the coaching staff and the front office is - how do you determine the issue is chemistry and minutes vs the issue is missing a player or two and not having the correct mix anyway.

Is that 10 games 20 games 40 games... Tough call. If the shot differential stays spread out like it is and they are getting spanked in every other measurable statistic after another 15 or so games then I think they have a problem.

If the top line isn't carrying over 50% of the play and the second line isn't closer to 48 or 49% in the next 10 or so games then maybe you start to push panic buttons. If those stats normalize though then I think they can roll with what they have and deal from a favorable position at the TDL.

Lots of new faces & a couple returning faces & some new systems; hard to have known what they had coming out of camp. Tough schedule too, needed to give them some time to see what happens, like, 10 games minimum. Tonight is game 9. Maybe there will be a call up from Rockford or two that happens next. I hope by game 25 a trade is made to bring in some NHL level talent. I tend to agree though that there is a lot to like about this team that hopefully translates into more wins. But, I think they'll need reinforcements to win a Cup.
