Bob Duff: DeKeyser out? Kronwall in? Defenseman Danny DeKeyser suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday's loss at Dallas, so it's possible that Niklas Kronwall will make his season debut for the Detroit Red Wings Thursday in Arizona.

What a sad bunch of hockey players. Kronwall can play one game in a row. The only time Dekeyser touches the puck and he gets hurt with it. Don’t worry Danny, your pain isn’t near as bad as the pain we fans suffer watching you trying to play this game that alludes you.
And Bone Head Bonowski to the rescue.....please.....what was that idiot trying to prove with that unnecessary penalty he took last game.
What is this guy doing in a Red Wing uniform? A waste of lumber.

Anyone else wondering why I'm seeing Abdelkader or Sheahan on the PP ?? WTF? Yeah.. I know they want those guys planted in front of the other team's goalie for a screen, but neither have the hands or skill IMO. Also saw Sheahan getting critical ice time in the last 3-4 min of the Dallas game. Seems like a bonehead Blashill move.

Really wish Bertuzzi would heal up and take a roster spot from some of these useless players like Witkowski or Sheahan. I saw Nosek scored a goal for Vegas and that he had a good preseason. Only Holland would do something so stupid as to not protect one of our arguably best prospects last year from expansion.

Carryover from previous thread:

"lol, guy, there have been multiple publications that stated Illitch asking Holland to step aside for Yzerman was in fact what happened.
- snipesydangle"

Yzerman has done a lot of good things for Tampa, but he's no saint. He's signed as many bad contracts for them as Holland has for Detroit. Or did you forget about Callahan, Killorn, Carle, Coburn, Garrison, and Ohlund..?

The biggest difference between Detroit and Tampa Bay is that they were bottom-feeders for a few years and drafted Stamkos and Hedman. The Red Wings haven't done that in 30 years. Get over it already.

Can't ltir him until he misses 24 days or 7 games. If he plays tonight he can't be put retroactively for the first 3 games.

Not quite right. A few clarifications.

- It's 10 games (not 7) and 24 days (not or). Both conditions have to be satisfied.

- He doesn't actually have to miss that amount of time first before he can be placed on LTIR; if the team physician determines that he will be out at least that long, he can be placed on LTIR immediately. However, this would require the player to sit out, at minimum, the full duration of 10 games and 24 days before being reactivated, even if he returns to health faster than anticipated.

Thanks for the clarification. Can always count on you, Sven.
With him looking like he's playing this week, Kronwall will not be LTIR soon pending a new or aggravated injury.
