Bettman is such an idiot....he'll push for teams to stay or move to non-hockey cities but will do nothing to assist in hockey towns

In this day and age because of the TV Audience, the arena is a studio. A rocking 14000 seat arena beats a partially filled 17000 seat arena. The owners and league are more motivated by an arena with the skyboxes and corporate bucks. I say let them play NVMC and use Barclay's for the big draw games if Belmont is not ready.

Seems Belmont is the only option. Lets hope isles owners are serious about proposal.
Doesnt seem like they coming back to Nassau nor should they.
ToH and Nassau really botched that up badly.

He's the only reason the Edmonton Oilers didn't move 20 years ago.

The guy saved the Oilers and Flames back in the 90's.

And how do you propose they do that? Teams schedule flights hotels meals game day skates way in advance. So if there are say 14000 or less its in Nassau and over 14000 Brooklyn? impossible, logistical nightmare plus fans need to know where the game is in advance. Even if you meant games vs rangers or other popular teams its still a terrible idea cause the team would need to move stuff all over between the arenas

The question that should have been asked was why aren't playing Islanders in this game?

No, they can easily predict the attendance for weekday games against non-rival opponents that make Nassau ideal for the Suffolk fans. A weekend game against a rival would make Barclay's the place, especially in March or April or for a playoff game. They can easily build a schedule before the season based on past attendance and opponent stats.

Why? You need someone to tell you the league only cares about the Rangers?

It would be like the team playing 60 road games moving all the stuff between two home rinks, but knowing this franchise we will have two home rinks, TRENDSETTING!

Their Avg attendance this year was 12,000 if that so there's really no problem fitting all the fans, nubmnutz

Barclays was 82 away games so that's an improvement

Yes Paradise Island they are building an arena at Atlantis Resort and Casino.

For what it's worth I have heard from some with the know that this Belmont Arena with Dolan, Wilpons behind it, it's on he fast track to approval. Again for what it's worth and I'm always wrong.

The luxury boxes in Brooklyn are a bigger revenue generator than a sold out coliseum

Honestly if the arena was fast tracked for the isles it would be the best thing for this org

If the luxury boxes were sold out I would agree. But they are not.

Regardless Barclays gets the revenue under the current deal.

Yes snow gone would be huge but an arena would make it permanent and be made for hockey and be state of the art. Man toss up which would be better honestly but arena would be awesome. I'm excited to see what the new staff can do as well I'm optimistic

Did JT re-sign yet? Did we start building an arena at Belmont yet? If not, I'm going back into hibernation.
