This is why people like that shouldn't be allowed to breed. Ugh. Kid's gonna get his lunch money kicked out of his head. Or her. Or whatever.

If I hear Shannon say 15 words per season it's a lot. I can't do pre/post game or in-between periods. I just set a timer for 18min and change the channel.

I have no issue with her, I just can't stand listening to the fluff and filler in those pre/post game shows and in between periods. I don't need to hear Cal Clutterbuck tell me they need to get pucks in deep and work hard along the boards.

Gotcha. I rarely ever get the Isle broadcast on the Center Ice package. Don't ever get to hear Butchie's little gems.

I just asked because we have a broad at work that is dumb as a box of hammers. I lose IQ points just hearing her speak. Plus, her voice is a cross between Fran Dresher and nails on a chalkboard. Just God awful annoying.

Great game last night. I know I wi get ripped for this but barzal needs to start shooting. All he thinks is pass even in the high scoring areas. The first and second line have been stale and when you got you fourth line carrying you that is pretty bad. Everyone on the top two lines just needs to shoot and drive the net. Hope Trotz fixes that

Good for Mayfield. He's not blessed with a world of skill, but I like that he just puts the damn puck toward the net more often than not.

If Mayfield turns out to be a decent D-man I will be very happy. He has put in the work and will continue to improve. I liked that Trotz talked about him in the post game. Said he had a terrible start to camp but as they started to work with him staying in "the Box" and simplifying his role he is really becoming a solid player. I am not under the delusion he will be a top pairing guy .. but a Solid bottom pairing guy or a solid stay home on the second pairing in certainly possible.

A lot on here take shots at his skating but it has improved a LOT over the years. ... Anyway, I would much rather him in the line-up over Sbisa at this point.

Telling that Trotz mentioned Fritz was not a punishment for play but just wanted to get Martin and the CC,CC,MM line back together for the game. He did not mention Sbisa in that regard. He also said he has no problem sitting anyone for any reason.

Mayfield does do a good job getting the puck on net. Would be great if Barry made a player out of him.

Last season the kid started slow and mid season he seemed to turn a corner then he flopped at the end along with the rest of the team. Two seasons ago he showed flashes of rushing the puck. Who knows maybe Trotz turns him into a legit defender? I’d take anyone over Sbisa minus Seidenberg 😂. Guy shouldn’t be playing over anyone with potential for obvious reasons unless it’s to teach a lesson after a bad game from a younger player. This is an evaluation year so evaluate.

And seriously, that's what you need to do. It's how goals are created. We all know this of course. Except Bailey, who likes turning the puck over at the blue line and create 2 on 1 the other way. Though he did have a nice snipe.

I was drifting in and out of sleep last night because...well because I'm an old (frank)...so I missed part of the game, but did I see Eberle out there with Barzal a few times? Was that a line or were they just in between changes? I wouldn't mind seeing them reunited. Makes sense to me to leave a duo together when they take care of business the way those two did last season. The left side I think is open to any number of options.

Yeah, they don't even need to have every shot be a Pulock rocket. Just get them through and on the net. If the forwards are doing what they should be and creating traffic in front, they'll handle the rest.

I would like to see Beau up there with Barzal. The speed those two bring to the table is incredible it’s also awesome to watch.

A lot on here take shots at several players. Myself included. Some is just in good fun, some is my opinion of the play (not speaking for anyone else). His skating has improved quite well. Every team needs solid bottom pairs. Perhaps Trotz will make him a solid defenseman.

Beau-Barzal-Eberle was maybe the only bright spot last season, so, yeah, it's probably worth seeing at some point if they can replicate that. But...the second line could use a bit more speed too, and if Beau is going to crash a little in the corners like he did against Anaheim, that's something any line with Brock Nelson on it could sorely use.
