He brought in crap in toronto really i mean they had all the parts he did however dump a few bad contracts. I love what he did with the staff management ect but not so much the roster. Better thN than snow still wanted an up and coming gm

Lou will lance the infection that plagues this club. Then he’ll step aside for said up and comer. That’s my thinking anyhow.

Well let’s be honest. How can anyone like what he did with the roster? It’s a joke that was made even more laughable by these recent decisions. I guess everyone can toss the old the best players will play mantra. We’re not seeing that I’m sure one person will debate that on here. Save your breath bud it’s not up for debate.

Personally think Lou gets way to much credit for his past success, in saying that, he is light years better than Snow. Think Trotz was the better pick up of the 2

I agree and remember snow modeled his style after Lou so theres a reason these moves look familiar. Maybe this team will be good and ill be wrong

Hey that would be great but to think this roster was constructed to be competitive is not a reasonable thought. To add to that one of the reasons I was laughing at the signings was due to blocking Toews and well here we are. The kid clearly deserved a spot. Well at least we have Hickey for four years. He’s real good. We’re seeing the same old shat we’ve seen for the last twelve years minus the staff to deny it would be sticking your head in the sand. That’s subject to change of course but if it smells like shat, it’s in a nice mound, it’s most likely shat let’s call a spade a spade.

Too bad his stamp is on this putrid roster
- Upstate_isles

I know right, ridiculous. With all the time he’s had, all the FA’s available and players banging down the door to become a part of the Islanders we should be competing for the Cup. ( purposeful HB exaggeration yes Cpt.)

He should have hired the “groupthink” Crew on here. The roster would be sooo much better

You guys should shot Lou some emails with the players that are available and what he should trade to get them. I’m sure he can learn a thing or two.

Gotta tear poop down before you can build a winner. Lou is more than capable of building just that, but the rot goes deep and it’ll probably take a year or two.

Question, You think Trotz is here without Lou being GM?

I don’t think there a chance. He came because he respected and believed in Lou’s ability. My opinion of course.

Nah just our roster and every, single, decision involved with it. You disagree?

I know we can’t disagree with anything Lou does without you losing your mind but do you think these decisions are sensible in any way? Also, what’s your opinion on the best players playing now that we have this new GM thought process you had? Do you think that happened?

My point is he needs more time to turn around the shat show circus he inherited.

For phuck sake it’s phucking tiring coming in here reading the same shat day after day after day.

We have a Lou L here who brought in BT, Korn and others to turn the staff around and finally run this organization professionally and you phucktards on here still aren’t happy. You want him to snap his fingers and change poop over night. And yes JS the time he’s been here to evaluate, change and build is nothing compared to the past 20 years this team was owned and run by a clueless bunch of morons.

Let them do their job and give them some time

Lou has been on the job for 5 months (not 6 weeks) and the Isles have won zero Stanley Cups in that time. Stop making excuses for him, 7. The guy's a bust.

If anyone on here knows, truly knows who was available for what in return etc. than I will agree with you. But since none of you Bozos(Me included) have no phucking idea what and who was available and would sign long term here after they were traded for than I think your all full of Shat.

Again give it some time. Should Toews be playing? In everyone’s eyes on here and people who write about hockey think so but Lou L and Trotz don’t. Why I don’t know. I love the kid. I watched him play at QU and he impressed and grew the years he was there much like in BP, however for what ever reason Lou and Trotz don’t. Maybe they would rather he comes in when trots system is in place longer and he can learn it at the AHL level instead of learning a totally new system and adapting to the faster NHL at the same time which may cause him to lose a bit of his confidence and take a step back. I don’t know but I sure as hell trust Trots and Lou judgement over Art Staple, Cpt fantastic and the Groupthink Girls

Seems like it.

JT ran the phuck out of here and Lou’s supposed to create miracles and rebrand this disaster in no time. Phucking comical.

Yes I want him to, but I don't expect that he can. What I can expect is for him not to sign trash players for 4 years.
