You don’t do that for me...

Jerk.

Yeah, but the bacon grease, dish gloves and sawz all with the rubber Richard attachment more than makes up for it.

Are you seriously trying to hype up Josh "Had His Best Season In A Contract Year At Age 28" Bailey?

Barzal is great.

Beauvillier was a 2nd year player. He scored 9 as a rookie.

And if you're going that route, the Canes have 5 guys who are on the cup including one who's been on there 3 times and won it WITH THE HURRICANES. So I dunno if that's really giving you an edge there.

Andrew Ladd
Cal Clutterbuck
Casey Cizikas
Leo Komarov
Valtteri Filpula
Matt Martin
Ross Johnston
Tom Kuhnackl

That's $21.8 Million for 8 guys that combined for 53 goals last season in 6795 minutes of ice time.

You have fun with that.

- BINGO!

I am sure of only one thing this season. The Islanders will be better than the Canes. The only players you have that are any good are currently available.

2 years makes me happy. I am very excited to see him this year. I think it's a riot how much everyone is going nuts that we let de Haan get away.

de Haan is a very good defenseman. He's not a franchise player, but our defense is significantly worse without him or a similar replacement.

True.

So what’s the AAV on Pulock’s new deal?

I think he took whatever his QO was and I believe that was something like $875k.

CapFriendly doesn't seem to have it yet.

de Haan on the right deal would have been nice, but I think he wanted out and a change of scenery is probably best. You just cannot count on de Haan to stay healthy.

Well regardless of price I’m glad Lou inked him. Would have liked more term though.

Correct he makes all the simple non flashy plays and could make a breakout pass and you need those types

My guess is they tried to sign him to a long-term deal, but he only wanted a short bridge. If he bets on himself and wins it's going to pay off big-time.

I'm sure they tried to lock him up for like 5 years at $2M-$3M or something like that...but he was smart to not take that. After this deal expires he could be looking at $5M-$6M per easily, if he keeps trending in the right direction.

The problem is Boychuk will most likely miss time again this year and the last thing you need is de Haan hurt again. Hopefully Leddy, Pulock, and Toews will help in terms of the breakout and being able to transport the puck.

Hard to believe I know. I'm done with the Boychuk and de Haan yearly injury parade.

I agree. de Haan is very useful when he plays same for Boychuk, but he cannot be counted on and for my sanity it's better de Haan has moved on. Isles are stuck with Boychuk.

I was hoping he’d get the Matheson treatment, something along the lines of 6 plus years and 4.75. There is no doubt in my mind that he’ll be worth it.

I find it pretty funny how Calvin DeHaan is suddenly a "very good" defenseman when I was literally the only one on here saying he needed to be signed last season. when Snow was playing hard ball with him I thought it was (frank)ing stupid and again every, single person on our thread said he wasn't worth shat. I liked the guy, I was the only person on here that did I didn't think he was a game changer but a decent 2nd pair guy. He was good for some hard to watch miscues here and there but his game seemed to be rounding out the last couple of seasons BUT why is he such a great defenseman all of a sudden in a lot of peoples eyes on here including yourself?

I don't mean this in an antagonistic way but its (frank)ing weird how this guy metamorphisised into a great defenseman while he was injured.
