I concur. He's gonna be a 60+ point winger for sure.

I could see Lou being real aggressive this summer after missing out on the big names at the deadline this year

I'm unsure of what the return for Tuch would be only because the Knights aren't exactly going to have a ton of leverage. That's a lot of money in new extensions they're adding next season. But I'm happy to pay the 1st+Beau+Aho if it beats out the rest of the market. I think Tuch is a player and is going to be a real, real good RW in a few years.

I have no idea on Tuch but this seems like a lot to give up?

He's a 6'4" RW that's scoring well at age 22 in only his second full season. He's in the last year of his ELC and starts the first year of a 7 year extension next season @ a $4.75M cap hit

He's scoring at about a 60pt pace this season

It is a lot to give up, but it's also a hell of a player coming back.

Does he skate like the wind like everyone else in Vegas?

He seem really good. Easiest thing would be to sign Panarin but easy and Isles do not go hand and hand.

Lou will have to get creative with trades if he misses out with top FA’s.

You could, conceivably, sign Panarin AND trade for Tuch. His contract is so good.

Speaking of Bode Wilde and boners, he's currently leading the Spirit in points this year from the blueline

I mean I don't get to see any OHL games, but here's Corey Pronman's write up on him from his organizational rankings back in the summer. Obviously a lot of time has passed since August, but he did a Q&A awhile back and spoke about him making improvements in his defensive play and decision making.

5. Bode Wilde, D, USNTDP-USHL

Wilde’s speed and skill level for a 6-foot-2 defenseman is elite. You see rushes from Wilde where he looks like a top three-to-five pick with the way he can blow by guys, create a clean zone entry and start the offense for his club. I’m impressed at times by his offensive instincts in how creative he is with the puck, and the way he moves it out of his zone with skill or can hit a teammate through a tight seam in the offensive zone. Despite being known as an offensive player, he can close on guys and is quite physical. He’s not afraid to lean on guys with his frame. The big issue with him is decision making. I generally am fine with high-skill guys turning pucks over – It’s a necessary evil that comes with having the puck a lot – but he makes a lot of overly risky plays, poor turnovers and can be on the butt end of too many highlight reels for the opposing team.

These are the scouting reports on EliteProspects, but are also old...so take them with a grain of salt:

Bode Wilde is a talented and competitive defender that plays a tenacious 200-foot game. His balance and acceleration in-stride is noteworthy and he is never caught in no-man's land, or doing nothing. He is proactive and hard-nosed in pursuit if puck control, and he reads queues in all three zones naturally and quickly. Defensively, he is a beast and always looks to take time and space away from the opposition. He erases the open lane, keeps opponents to the outside, and is physical along the wall. In-transition, he is able to make that outlet pass or, more than likely, take it up himself to set up the trap. Offensively, he showcases a very hard, accurate shot that leaps off his stick. He can also open up space by way of his skating ability, size, and handling of the puck. Thanks to his quick thinking in making the high-percentage decision, he can be very difficult to read and play against. All-in-all, Wilde is a smart, competitive, and sizey two-way D-man that can provide a team with numbers on the board and stability on the ice. [EP 2018]

2way D has size & strength, good offensive instincts & has a low hard shot, ISS Hockey 2017

Yea and he plays physical. If he can just not be a major defensive liability I think he'll be a star. Plus, he was drafted out of the USNTDP, so he's AHL-eligible next year. Which is good, because if he's killing the OHL now there's no point in sending him back for an overage season where he'll absolutely destroy the league. If he succeeds in the AHL next season I could see him fast-tracked to the NHL in a year or two after that.

Yeah I see no benefit to him getting another year in the OHL. He's pro-sized, let him play against pro talent and see how it goes. There's no rush. I see him, hopefully, being NHL ready. I think he'll be the one that eventually pushes Boychuk out. Boychuk submits a list of 8 teams he can be traded to starting next season.

Probably gonna eat some of Boychuk’s salary. 6 mill is pretty steep for those old legs.
