Tim Panaccio: Hextall's Take on the Benchings

of course he backed his handpicked, can't ever do a damn thing wrong coach.
i guess these 2 guys know more than everyone, because every hockey analyst, or expert disagrees where this will restore the kids confidence.
Its one thing if you've got a stacked, high talent D core, but he sits while Schultz plays?

Seriously, every hockey analyst or expert disagrees? Even if that was true, which it's inevitably not, it wouldn't matter. None of them are around the team or the players every day. Hakstol and Hextall are. Pannacio an others don't understand that there is a big picture. Short term loss for long term gain. Gostisbehere is not sitting because they think Schultz is better, so that is irrelevant.

why r u in here?
dont you have someone else to haunt in the meltzer boards?
your delusional if you think fans cant have opinions with some of the decisions the team makes. Not everyone will agree with the decisions they make, (except maybe you).

“There's a lot of lessons that young people have to learn,” Hextall said. “We've all gone through it. I've gone through it; you go through it with your kids. We've all got to learn lessons. This is part of the process of young players growing in the pros. That's all it is. ...

This is a very telling statement by Hextall. There is definitely an off ice or a maturity issue going on here with either or both of TK and ghost. Seems to be more than just a case of dressing the best players to win the game that night or whatever Hak has said. Hopefully Ghost grows from this

Nothing in my post suggested that fans can't have opinions.

I seriously doubt that there are off ice issues, or maturity issues. It is more than just a case of dressing the best players. That's just coach speak. Hakstol is not going to undress players publicly, or let the public into what he really thinks. The most telling statement Hextall makes is that it is part of the process of young players in the pros. Most especially the comment of "that's all it is"

Hmmmmm
Looking a little deeper,
time to trade him for some silly reason and have him return to Philly and have a 3 or four point nights with a game winner every time he comes back or play us.
It will be Xanadooo, Cause we will get a similar return like Matt Ellison and a bag of pucks can't wait!

It will be funny because he will be paired with a solid D partner that supports his game and who does not pile more errors on to Ghost's side of the ice.
