Just wondering everybody's take on Nuge's trade value. After a lights out rookie campaign where his powerplay numbers were among the leagues best, he has now regressed into a solid 50 point #2 center. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but for a 6M cap hit, it seems like an overpay. How do other teams value him? Obviously he isn't enough to get a good defender (seth jones, adam larsson). From a St. Louis perspective....they could afford to sign Shatty and he gets the money he reportedly wants, and the #1 job on D, the Blues get a potential #1 center they desperately need and are paying only about 1.5 mil more next season.

Edmonton gets the true #1 RD they desperately need, leadership, and a guy that is signed through 2020.
