Yeah I couldn't imagine how difficult it is to focus on hockey with all the stuff going on with his family right now.

His Dad was recently found guilty on suspicion to hire a hitman to kill Linden Vey's mom. I am not quite sure the details but I think he was sentenced?

He had a brutal game last night. Was losing battles all over the ice and was getting dominated in the corners.

Figured it would be mentioned in the blog about him getting waived..

Wotherspoon has had a couple bad games, but it's not like Grossman has looked great either. Sure he's made a couple big hits, but today's NHL is too fast for the Grossman's and Regehr type d-men
He is slow slow slow....we already have an anchor like that in Wideman, except Grossman doesn't have the offensive acumen

let Kulak play, he's younger and at least has potential to get better

That's nice. You can't even spell his name properly; let alone evaluate his preseason. But yeah if you wanna cookie cutter him into the "dying defensive defenseman The Hockey News cover story" mould: go at it. He's looked legit.

We'll see if the coaching staff even gives him a soft pass. Hard passes happened a week ago. I've seen solid decision making and suprising transition from his preseason. His lack speed has been made up for with his positioning and he's earned lasting as long as he has.

Bouma has made a couple big hits too, but I don't have a problem saying his preseason has been awful.

Do you notice that you are the only one who thinks that grossmann deserves a contract? Is he your cousin or something? You don't win games when almost every forward in the league can skate circles around one of your defenceman. He hasn't looked horrible but he hasn't been noticeable in any way. I'd rather him not get a contract because after 20 games he'll begin to look more and more like a pylon that doesn't skate past the neutral zone.

when you resort to being grammar/spelling nazi, you know you don't have a good argument
does he have an extra N at the end of his name? Maybe...but I don't know how to spell his name cause I frankly don't care

where exactly do we need Gross? What does he bring to the table that we don't get with Engelland other than just being slower and taking up another contract. Even if he was slightly better than Engelland, you don't sign him because we have a player already signed to a contract that fills that type of role on the 3rd pairing.

it's time to see what we have in Kulak and Spooner...they've got more potential than Grossman and I like the speed and youth they bring...at some point, we're going to want to get some of the young D experience to keep progressing them
