I might have missed it reading your article, but is he AHL eligible yet? Or does he go back to Sault Ste. Marie?

Pretty sure he'd have to go back to his OHL club if he didn't make the Bruins... He just turned 19 this year, and I'm pretty sure that 20 is the cutoff mark for the current deal between the NHL/CHL.

The B's are probably too full on the blue line now, but Jakub Nakladal is still unsigned as a RH d-man... he's currently playing top pairing minutes in the World Cup for the Czech Republic. He's nothing flashy, but from what I've seen has played pretty solid D, and puts up decent possession stats.

I think he would have had way more upside than someone like JML.

NHL or back to juniors still, I believe . Debrusk and Carlo will be in the AHL though.

DeBrusk will be 20 before December 31st of this year, so he's eligible.

Bingo, you probably saw more of Debrusk in Swift than I did here in the Hat. What do you think of his game and where do you see his ceiling?

Listen idiot, I know for a fact he's AHL eligible. Learn the rules if you wanna be a fan or get the hell out. Also: Hi. How are you? How are the Roughriders doing?

With Peter Meuller on board, i doubt there'd be room for him anyway.

Cool. Maybe Senyshyn can put up 100+ points for the greyhounds. Going to be an interesting camp to see who wins roster spots. "the best players will play" according to Sweeney. Lots of competition for roster spots this year.

This is why Moore was a useless signing. Sweeney is full of it. He won't be keeping a guy like Hayes or Moore down in Providence even when Griffith or Heinen outperform them.

And next year Debrusk and Senyshyn could be ready for NHL roles. There will be a logjam depending on who gets taken by Vegas. Could end up being someone like Belesky.

Hopefully they take Hayes.

Beleskey has a NTC, so he has to be protected I think.

EDIT: I take that back, I guess not according to General Fanager's Expansion draft tool.

Hm, I didn't think of that but that's odd. Maybe it is just for no movement clauses?

It also says Vatrano is exempt? Do we know why this is?

So assuming status quo and that Belesky has to be protected, I would assume we protect:
Bergeron, Marchand, Krejci, Chara, Belesky, Backes, Pasta, Spooner, Krug and C. Miller and Rask obviously.

I'm wondering if they would take Riley Nash, or Jimmy Hayes. Or maybe K. Miller or McQuaid depending on their seasons.

K. Miller could really take strides this season

It could just be an incomplete tool. I was under the impression that both NMC and NTC players had to be protected. I dont know about Vatrano. I think the rule is under two years of pro experience. (not positive on that). If I were vegas and vatrano is available, I would take him.

In any case, my bet is that vegas takes Subban if frankie v is exempt.

1st and 2nd year pros are exempt which is why Vatrano doesn't need to be protected.

Only players with full NMC or NTC have to be protected therefore Belesky doesn't have to be protected (neither does Rask FWIW)
