Good post. I like the trade. I think Buffalo wins short term and I'm looking forward to Kulikov in blue and gold

Not a lot of panthers fans are happy about that trade which makes me happy.

Kulikov seems like the tough, physical playoff defender. Seeing as Pitt won without many (any) of those, it is a weird call, but before this year I would say you need a few of those type of D men in playoffs to win.

This is a player to make the team better in the playoffs, but means nothing if we dont make it to playoffs.

I don't mind the trade but I'm also guessing that your standard Panthers fan has absolutely no clue who Mark Pysyk is

"Kulikov never entered into the conversation. At least here in Buffalo."

Because he hates ALL Russians! FOREVER! And one will never ever play for the Sabres.....EVER!!!!!

...sorry. Too much punctuation.

Pittsburgh iced a version of reiger's core last season...the main difference between the two are that the pens had Crosby and malkin...the sabres had........

Quick question...when does Bogosians NTC kick in?

It wouldn't surprise me if the Sabres miss out on Stamkos that Bogosian gets moved for a forward and Fowler is still in the fold for Murray to acquire.

Just my two cents there.

On the trade it self. I liked it. It cost one of our remaining 3 3rd rounders to get a better suited defensemen and move up a few spots to get the player the Sabres wanted in the 2nd round.

I would say its a good trade and while it lacks the fireworks we were all hoping for it improves the team short term and long term!.

sabres got the better player and the higher pick

hands down won the trade

while kulikov is not eye opening, you need a guy like him on your roster

not sure if you need him with bogo and gorges though

If he can turn into a Rivet, stay at home D-man type, he will be awesome to pair with Risto

I wonder if the one year deal with Larsson was part of the expansion draft plan? Basically telling him, if you play well this year, theres another contract coming for you. But if we give you a longer contract now, we're going to have to expose you. Kind of one of those rare opportunities where a team can reward a player for good play rather than giving them term and hope they play like their best days for 2-3 more years.

2 of the top 20 centers in the league right there.
And i wonder if they make those sandals Roy is wearing for men.
