the way I see it the top 3 are in a tier of their own. The next 8-9 players are all on the next tier with some (Tkachuk, PLD, Nylander) coveted more highly. I'll be more than happy with Keller, Brown Jost, or 1 of the 3 D. Don't want us reaching for someone like McAvoy

I'd say 4-15 are all probably in the same boat. There are probably 15 guys who would typically go around #10 in any draft

Last year I had a bunch of scenarios drawn out for the top 6 picks, but everything was status quo through the first twelve or so picks, the biggest deals happening with Boston, Calgary, LA, NY Islanders, and Edmonton.

This year could very well be the same, a lot of hubbub around a dud story, but the biggest stories made in the middle of the round.

For the first day of the draft, the way I see it:

Home run picks: Keller & Nylander (I see Nylander as the biggest stretch; however, not an impossibility. That said, Keller is by far my dream draft pick)

I'd be thrilled with: Brown, Sergachev, or Juolevi (I would be shocked if Juolevi is here. That said, if other teams like Sergachev or Chychrun over him; anything can happen. Brown is also likely to be taken already but, once again, it wouldn't be a huge stretch to see him there)

I'd think of the draft as a win with: Jost (I see him being on the same tier as Keller & Brown but I think he doesn't have as high of a ceiling as either of the aforementioned players. That said, if we select him, it would help us out a lot)

I would be disappointed with: Chychrun or McLeod (I just don't think either of these guys are in the top 11. McLeod is basically a faster Zajac. Don't get me wrong, he is good, but at that point there are better forwards out there with more skill/shots. As for Chychrun, he has the size, but I really don't see him playing well under pressure. He is a safe top 4 pick but I would be shocked if he becomes a strong top 2 defender; maybe it is just me, but I am not sold on the guy.)

I would be surprised with: anyone else. honestly, I can't imagine us drafting anyone else not listed above unless we trade down.

If McLeod is available at 11, He will be the steal of the draft from 7 - 30 IMO

Keep Severson. And we wouldn't get a late 1st for Cam. Probably a mid to late 2nd and a 3rd though.

Some poeple have questioned his IQ and have said that he sometimes doesn't know what to do in the offensive zone. One of the top ten will drop if Keller is drafted higher and we'll pick that player or just Keller.

Jvr isn't worth Larson at all top two defenders are waaaaaay more valuable then 60 pt wingers cannot wait to hear all the junk for Larsson.

Severson isn't being moved for Pearson either so we can get both those thoughts right out of our heads. He needs to go in a package for a drouin type player nothing short and the kings have nothing of that value that fits in our build all you're picks are going to be mid to late and all you're prospects are meh so we would be giving something nice to get four or five ok pieces ? I doubt it.
