I'm not trying to cause a riot here, just a discussion.
What does everyone think of Jake Gardiner in some trade for the 3rd or 4th pick in the draft? Could be other parts added, but those would be the 2 main ingredients.
I'm not high on Gardiner, even though he has a good salary at 4m.
Edmonton is looking for a defensemen, Lou has been praising what Gardiner has done this past season and the Leafs have Reilly.
Gardiner + 31st pick for Edmonton's 4th + ?
I've always liked Eberle, would look good in Blue & White.
Matthew Tkachuk played with Mitch Marner with the London Knights.

with Nylander, Matthews, and Marner, all probably breaking onto the team this year, JVR, Kadri, Komarov already signed, and the potential for Stamkos to sign as well, the Leafs need Gardiner way way way more than another forward.
Would be a terrible idea, unless they want to draft Chycrun with that pick, or something like that.
