I don't understand why the Flyers are tied to PA. Why would Hexy want a pending ufa coming to a bubble team? Unless he plans on extending him?

I could see the Flyers making a move if it allowed them to get out from under Umberger or MacDonald's contracts. In that case it might be worth moving one of the 3rd's they have stockpiled along with either Umberger or MacDonald for the freedom from their contracts.

I don't see them bringing in anyone who is an RFA or UFA. IMHO

IMHO, tbh I think that the Flyers are tied to that MacDonald contract for the duration of it, ICYMI irl

The only way the leafs take on those contracts is if that 3rd is a first and a 3rd.

Why would we give a 2nd round pick for pap?

The Flyers are sellers. Too much cap money on that roster.

i think they're both...similar to florida last year.

sold vinny and schenn. they have the assets to buy a veteran or 2 for a playoff push.

How does this answer my question? Pap is 32, a pending UFA, and a clear rental player. Flyers are not in playoffs right now, and will only worsen with Couts out. Hexy has preached not to trade assets for veteran players. If we wanted pap that bad, can simply get him in offseason without moving any picks.

Hexy said in the summer he wouldn't acquire 29+ age players and signed Mevedev and LaBaberra. Who gets moved? And who do they add then?
