Maybe not stupid, but goalies in general are borderline psychotic with their equipment. I can say this because my dad is a goalie and has some weird bugaboos with his equipment.

i had stupid superstitions. stuperstitions. goofy stuff like left sock before right, left pad before right. stick had to be taped just right. backed into my net before the opening face off and tapped the back of my helmet on the crossbar.

none of this ever kept me from being possibly the worst ballhockey goalie in the history of the tansboro hockey league.

I'm a goalie and can relate to the weirdness. I should have been more precise. I think 95% of NHL goalies are culturally stupid. All of these masks are cartoonesque or Ooooo scaryyyy!!! and have no impact once you zoom out. And they are very often a bad fit with the uniform. They're made by the same usual boring harley-davidson-gas-tank-style airbrush guys.

Haha well said

As a uni thread project id like you to post some sort of blank mask template and everyone in here must design and submit their own mask for comment and ridicule

omg yes. i don't care about the over-the-top designs because it blesses us with a quick in-between whistles comment every national broadcast.

i feel that they are also weird with white pads = misleading shooters. Like (frank), guys are scoring in every league their whole lives. I don't think the absence of color in equipment with cause the shooter to forget the dimensions of the net.

You remind me that I need to shop for used pads and a glove on Kijiji while it's still summer.

i think in general i have a problem with pretty much everything that has to do with the team name and logo. predators? a sabre toothed tiger? also the logo looks like it was accidentally stretched in photoshop before they submitted the design for production

whatever

A.) Predators is a badass name
B.) the logo could be better i agree, but it also could be worse

C.) In Downtown Nashville in 1971, workers excavating the First American Bank Complex’s foundation came across a cave system from the prehistoric era. This cave system had remains of a foreleg from Smilodon Fatalis and a 9-inch fang.

Since the Saber-tooth was thought to be extinct almost 11,000 years ago, this was huge information showing that this cat was alive just 9,500 years ago.

Due to these findings, Nashville contains the remains of the last known Smilodon.
