Can Bergenheim play C?

Comparing BB to JJ is an absolute joke. BB is not a good hockey player.

This was fun to read. Mario is the greatest player to ever play, I think he's even better than Gretzky.

Didn't his comeback year start around Christmas and didn't he just miss wining the scoring title? Crazy.

I like to say Mario was the best while Gretz was the greatest.

Without a doubt Mario had unequaled talent and that remains today.

Fav Lemieux moment being home my freshman yr and going to the "return" game vs TOR. Neither CEC or Mellon was ever that electric than that night. Still can't believe he had 76 pts that year.

I read somewhere he quite eating french fries a month before the season to prepare.

And to think most of that was done with a bad back...He's the only player ever to make 1on 2s look dangerous. What a talent

Good stuff.

Did that guy compare Bergenheim to Hossa and Pavelski?

So predictable to blame Sutter for Beau's shortcomings. How about get Beau away from Pittsburgh? He hasn't done jack poop. Then again, I'm sure some idiot will blame Sutter for the JFK assassination. Not saying Sutter has played well by any means, but its dumb to say he is the root cause of Bennett's failures. That is far from the case. Someone needs to pay attention.

But the new stat of the week says otherwise?

Never mind 2 different NHL coaches are benching him for his least comparables.

Mario had it all. He could do things Gretzky could never do. I'll always prefer to watch a Mario or bossy video.

Bennett hasn't looked the same since coming back from his last injury. I don't know if hasn't regained full strength in the knee or if it's just a mental thing but something is definitely off

So two games in, beau has been net front for two goals and generated multiple chances. He is never going to be a power forward, but that doesn't mean his play is ineffective. Two games, two goals while on the ice.
I actually prefer him and Spaling together than he and Sutter. I'm over Sutter, Beau is just beginning to show how good he can be.

Exactly. Beau was in front of the net occupying two defenders on the Spaling goal and also got an assist Thursday. He's trash.

2 goals from the THIRD LINE since his return. That nearly a month's production from that line.

Beau has definitely helped the 3rd line but pre injury he was dangerous in the O zone with his head fakes and quick direction changes and you don't see that now....physical ?mental ? coaches suggestions ?

Watching Mario torture goalies was an absolute pleasure in my lifetime As a season ticket holder, I saw most of those in person. He made Dmen look like fools as well. Goalies had to have nightmares when facing the Big Guy. I miss watching him but time catches up on all of us. You were a true pleasure to watch, Mario

It was only two games. He is producing. When his confidence starts to bring back that swagger from before, he will be a huge difference maker.

Absolutely agreed. They just dismiss me as a homer every time I mention it.

Mario was the greatest of all time and Penguins vs Flyers is the best rivalry in the NHL and maybe all of sports, but you'll never hear that from anyone who gets a hard-on whenever two original six teams are playing each other.

Neither Sutter nor Spaling are guys who carry the puck up ice with confidence. Beau does. His zone entry is the best on that line. His vision is great too.
