Thoughts on Galchenyuk telling mt that he would rather play wing?

Saw the game live on Thursday in Ottawa. Was rink side. while everyone in the warmup was being serious, Dale Weise was having fun interacting with the fans, and trying to flip pucks over the glass to us. The smile never left his face. Looks like he's really soaking in the moment and proud to be wearing the CH. I saw PK and the guys pushing him around and shooting pucks at him for fun.

I think he means a lot to that team off the ice as well. Good for You dale

Reminds me of when Pacioretty said he'd prefer to play in the AHL. Clearly Galchenyuk is a bust.

Also really impressed with Beaulieu and his defensive game. I thought if he made the Habs he would be an offensive defenseman who was weak defensively. Boy was I ever wrong. That kid has game. When the offence comes, the sky is the limit for him. Very impressed. Credit to Gonchar for bringing him along.

Best Habs defense pairing in my opinion

I think that was a bit of an embellishment, but it seems he and the coach are on the same page. they want to take the quickest route to him building his confidence back up, and a little sheltering on the wing might be the ticket.

You wouldn't rule out him moving back to the middle later in the season then?

Anyways as long as he remains on one of the top two lines he'll be fine IMO

I don't see what the big deal is with Weise. He has size and speed.
He was labeled 4th line by a coach who didn't like him.
0.64ppg in jr 0.57ppg in Ahl all while racking up pim.
So why not give him a shot, hell if they try Prust I think Weise is a better option

The national media are idiots for ignoring the habs as much as they do, but the habs are forcing them to at least discuss them. The same was true when the Canucks were at the top of the charts...

I never wanted the Canucks to trade Dale. I hated A/V for not playing the guy or using his speed, same with that numbskull torts.
