This how Dater conducts himself on the REG. He is a lumbering ginger with a teenage maturity level. He must fancy himself a tough guy because he sure talks the talk. He long ago blocked me for calling into question his behavior and word choices. This is nothing new really.

That is the saddest part of it all. This isn't uncommon.

Mcnabb was a little high on this hit sure. Leading with his shoulder. But that kid clearly lowered himself. It also didnt help to catch an elbow from a teammate on your way out. It is what it is. Young kid trying to make an impact in a big game.

female doging about PC and and turning to teenage insults is a sure sign he's conservative. if any doubt remains look no further than to call any female you associate with a feminist as if it's an insult because he has no counter to you calling him out for being an ass hat.

95% of Avs fans can't stand Dater anymore, and he has little to no respect left among the fan base. Outside of maybe a few casual fans in Denver of course.

There isn't that many of us left on here, but HFBoards is pretty active and there is constantly conversation about his incompetence.

I'd love to say this is a whole new level for Dater, but it's not.

Dater is going a bit overboard but find me a piece of writing that is unbiased in the media. You will never be able to do it. Sure there will be snippets and ever so rarely such a thing.

I mean you start out your piece trying to be that guy then:

"Is McNabb a dirty player? Not at all. Is he a physical player? Absolutely. It's something that he tries to impose on players each and every night. While McNabb was fairly physical last night, laying at least two large open ice hits on Avs players, that must have sent Dater into enough of a frenzy to bring up a game that happened three years ago and try to make a judgement on a player's character. A game that involved 16-18 year olds no less. "

The first sentence is beyond biased. The hit was beyond dirty and you cannot excuse someone making that choice in a split second. He made it in than a split second. But he made it. It is a split second before someone murders another person. Should we just forget it when someone murders another person? Hey you did your time and now you are no longer a murderer.

I get where you going with your point but be clear about that point. McNabb should not be utterly damned for making dirty plays because of something he did a couple of years ago to another writer's team's prospect.

Obviously McNabb is not damned otherwise he would not make it this far. But that hardly cleanses him of his past sins. You could literally kill someone doing what he did and just because someone does not end up dead right at the moment from such a play does not make what you can cause a person for the rest of their life trivial.

So while Dater is obviously going overboard nothing like a second wrong to make it all the worse. I hope players that make those type of plays get some of their own medicine and deal with the headaches and the frizzy brain functioning and ALS later in life and all the other fun stuff because it sucks. It sucks and for what?

I have friends in their twenties scooting around on walkers because of head injuries. Their emotions run the gamut. Their ability to form lasting relationships are damaged. Their ability to make decisions well are damaged. They suffer terrible headaches and vertigo. They have memory issues. Those are all things they deal with in the here and now, the issues that spring up down the road are the ones that are most concerning. Higher rates of addiction which compound their issues, ALS, early onset dementia.

It is it difficult someone that makes the actions that define that and excusing it because the guy was not eighteen when he made the decision is unreasonable. Oh but he's a kid. A kid who like all kids need to learn that a decision today has a consequence tomorrow. The sooner a kid learns that the better.

That was an epic cheap shot though, really.

EDIT: And that line about remorse? Lol, oh boy. Of course he's going to say that he feels bad. What do you expect him to say, no I don't regret trying to cave his face in with my elbow, give me that opportunity 100 times and I'll do it 100 times? Friggin' Matt Cooke says sorry every time he does something insane out there, and he just keeps running out there to do more insane things. Sorry is a word, but it doesn't mean anything if the guy saying it turns around and keeps doing that stuff.

Now, I don't know ANYTHING about Brayden McNabb, except to say that the elbow he threw into that kid's head should have got him a very, very long suspension. I haven't looked to see what happened to him as a result, I'm assuming he probably got suspended. Further to that, I don't know the reputation of the guy, if he does stuff like that all the time, or if this was an aberration. But that was about as bad of an elbow as you'll ever see in this sport, and it derailed Hishon's career and probably will have a lifelong impact on him. He did it on purpose. If the guy did it once and never did anything insane again, then sure, I'd take the apology at full value. If he keeps doing stuff like that, then who cares what he says.

As for Dater, I dunno. It was a wussy play, he's not wrong. Maybe he's jumping up and down a little too much, I'd agree on that, but he definitely called the play exactly what it was.

Comparing anything to murder is just to much. Murder is almost never a split second decision. Normally premeditated.

Wrong. Murder happens in a split second decision more often than not. Most people, if given the time to actually think about what they're doing, will not kill someone, no matter how angry they get.

Isn't there some sort of professional code of conduct you media types should be following? I feel like this whole scenario regarding the sports journalists (leaving hockey players out of it) is incredibly immature.

That's how stupid people are.

They do ACTUALLY have time to think about their actions on whether or not to kill someone and still end up going through with it. Thats why people get caught because they don't think about how they will cover up their killings and if they do take the precautions they still will be caught do to the slightest of evidence found.

Serial killers are a big support in this theory. They premeditate how they will do it. Drive by shootings. Wife/husband murder. Suicide while hurting others (bombing). Theft. It's all premeditated unless it's manslaughter.

Premeditation is a big reason for murder. Period.

Back to hockey now.

Wonder if Dater would have the nads to say those things to McNabb's face (without a bunch of other people around to protect him)......

Good rule of thumb: if you wouldn't be willing to say something to somebody's face, you probably shouldn't say it.....and in this case, you would need to be willing to throw down if you speak to another man like that. Ripping someone on Twitter is right there with "anonymous sources" as the epitome of weasel behavior.

C'mon Jason. McNabb was brought in for one reason; to make Brown look like a clean player.

I hate him already. Mostly because he's an unskilled King.

Good luck this year Kings fans. You won't be seeing my Ducks again this postseason.

For those that don't know you, why don't you share your "Stub Hub Available Tickets=Fan Loyalty" theory that you ran here before Game 6 of the playoffs last year?

And...you do realize that your team employs a player that killed another player, don't you?

Huh. I thought you guys would be good enough to make the playoffs this year. Too bad I guess.
