apparently the dungeon of doom was put together to appease hogan. so he'd be able to go over as superman, destroying an entire stable every show. they knew they had to give him something squishy to keep him from complaining about not just being champ and focal point all the time.

that is a weird part then for sure. kevin sullivan says they made it for him but i don't remember what the focal point was if it wasn't already him anyway.

no idea. but they mentioned how he'd been the champ for months at that point.

probably made the stable just so that no one else could have a storyline since Hogan would take up all the "top" heels. Could easily see that so Macho and Luger and Flair are stuck as far away from the title as Hogan can keep them

he "lost" the title in the main event after jimmy hart hit him with the microphone and then Big Show humped him in a bear hug. Then the ref DQ'd him or something and then all the other jobbers ran out to beat on Hogan but he fended them off until Macho ran out. But then Macho got stomped by Luger turning heel randomly. And then a mummified zombie stumbled down to the ring to bum hump Hogan in a double bear hug with Big Show.

this was after hogan knocked Big Show off the roof of the monster truck building.

Bret Hart is without a doubt a grumpy mark for himself but he ain't overrated.

HBK is not overrated at all either and I hate him with the force of a thousand supernovas.

i take some umbrage (somebrage) with your ric flair choice but i understand that i am older than you and got to see more of his prime.

his promos alone put him up there at the top of my list and he had a couple matches that were better than most other wrestlers' entire careers.

Apparently Owen was the nice guy. I guess Bret was always short with fans and that in public places and Owen would come along after him and apologise after lol.
